So to answer the greek statue question. The size of a man's genitals was equated with how civilized, intelligent, and control over oneself a man is. Most people don't know how to handle CD's in general. Even Blu-rays can scratch. And it's never because of the reader. It's usually someone touching the side that's read, and when it doesn't read, they wipe it off with something even slightly abrasive, and scratch the damn thing. Don't get me started on the people that haphazardly throw a disc back into its case, or slide them until the center hits the prongs. Always used to piss me off when I'd go out and rent movies. Hell, people were that bad with VHS tapes.
