  • We know now that being nonverbal is NO impediment to learning to read, and read WELL. Some of my best reading students were nonverbal and on the apraxic scale (childhood apraxia of speech, or CAS). So how do we test them? I'll answer that in Part 1. And how do we prove to the school staff that our learners who are nonverbal can read? I'll answer that in Part 2. In the meantime, here are 3 ways you can test your learner's reading ability.

    Its to bad the audio on this video is so quiet. Because I would really love to hear it.
