Highlights from Our Trip
Day 1: Arrival + 壽記海鮮酒家 (Sau Kee Seafood Restaurant)
We arrived at night, soaking in the island’s quiet charm. Dinner was at 壽記海鮮酒家, featuring:
清蒸魚 (Steamed Fish)
椒鹽蝦 (Salt & Pepper Shrimp)
南丫島炒麵 (Lamma-Style Fried Noodles)
✨ Tip: The car-free streets are great for kids!
Day 2: Dim Sum + Beach Party
After brunch at 舢舨海鮮酒家, featuring 蒜蓉蒸帶子 (Garlic Steamed Scallops) and 蝦餃 (Har Gow), we hiked to Hung Shing Yeh Beach.
The day ended with a unique beach party, organized by local expats. Picture this: a piano on the beach, power plants in the background, and toads serenading us on the way home!
Day 3: Sunrise Attempt + 快記餐廳 (Fai Kee Store)
Though clouds hid the sunrise, we enjoyed Beef Brisket Soup Noodles at 快記餐廳, followed by an easy hike to Restaurant on the Hill (菠蘿山莊), where we tried:
咖喱魚蛋 (Curry Fish Balls)
香蕉煎餅 (Banana Pancakes)
✨ Tip: The hike is kid-friendly, with smooth trails and a shoulder ride option for toddlers!
