Wow Hats off to you guys. This was much anticipated from you guys, finding and showing a halal food restaurant isn't just great but you have done obligated millions who want to find halal food overseas. The restaurant looks excellent with great ambience and outside it looks like you are in Europe.❤ Thanks.
I love that halal food is getting more fine dining and also in diff places in the city. Years back, to get halal food I used to go to South C estate because there was a higher Muslim population than where I lived at the time. Fun story, a close friend back in high school, told me halal food is pretty much like the food I eat and I didn't believe her. It's when I visited her and got more educated on both the culture and religion that I understood her. I'm not a Muslim but I do enjoy diff cuisines and cooking styles/methods. I hope to a kosher restaurant in Kenya one day.
For sure. The muslim population in Kenya is huge so there is for sure demand for it. I'm sure we'll start seeing more and more fancy halal spot within the next few years. 👍🏼
The only part i dont agree with you is getting halal restaurant can be difficult. The best statement would be getting a 5 star Halal restaurant in Nairobi is difficult or High end for that matter. Ask Muslims where they eat and its 100% Halal and you will get at least 10 places within Nairobi alone.
As always I run very fast though seems that am late but never too late great review as always and, just a question, how did you guys sleep after those two desert waffles???🤣🤣🤣🙈🙉🙉😍am just kidding the last one looked very loaded!!what was it's name?
Thanks Dave and Tracy for your videos. I have been following you since you set foot in Kenya a few years ago. We appreciate your work. I now have a reason to go to GTC.🙂
Hey guys I love your vlogs and if you don’t mind I can give you an idea of another new bar and lounge in town called alloy I work there and would be honored to welcome you and serve you beautiful couple ..it’s at Sarit 6th welcome to our beautiful palace
Its always shocked me how halal food is not as widespread in Kenya in general and Nairobi considering the large sizable Muslim Kenyans there I heard its almost half of the population there so its good to see more option for practicing Muslims as we really suffer in the west so much and always have to opt for the vegan options in Non Halal restaurants as even fish nowadays is cooked in pork oil or alcohol :( *tears*
That is a fair point. With that being said we have been to a few locations like drip burgers for example which is fully halal but does not necessarily write it everywhere.
There is a considerable population of Muslims in North Eastern Kenya (Somali dominated region), Nairobi and large parts of Coast of Kenya. Most halal foods and meat are to be found in areas where these populations live, mostly in the working class areas and a few upscale areas. You just have to know where to look. And no, the Muslim population in Kenya is 11% not anywhere near 50%.
I'm not a huge fun of restaurants that sell food that's expensive that will not fill me up because after what I have seen I will still be hungry. I prefer home grown restaurants that serve real African food that will leave you full
WTF did you just say, finding halal food in Nairobi is difficult? I guess you guys have been misinformed. My friends there are more Halal food in Nairobi than non halal food. In fact, Kenya Meat Comission follows halal slaughter process, which makes almost all non private meat in Kenya are considered halal, as long as the meat is from halal animal e.g NOT from pig, dogs, carnivores, lizards, etc... Nice content though, welcome to Kenya 🇰🇪

At last some life at the GTC centre. The place has been quiet since it officially opened. And the food looks good! Worth a visit for sure.
To be fair even tho it is open, way less than half of the commercial spaces are open same for the JW Marriott so its only up hill from now on.
Am definitely going to that hotel the food looks yummy 🤤 thanks Dave and Tracey❤ you guys are simply the best 🎉
Thats was just a restaurant. No hotel connected to it. :)

Are your meals comped by the restaurants you review?
Yes, but we are not paid and we tell the restaurant that we never garantie positive review either.
@@DaveMani that's OK, but in the spirit of full disclosure, you should share that information at the beginning of every restaurant/hotel/lodge review.
Phenomenal and I just love how it was Christmas Time!
Oh BTW, is that Tracy or Dave's family that your with in the country ?
Tracey's.
Makes me want to go there

How do you find such kind of Restaurants in Kenya am just shocked
The food scene in Nairobi is getting crazy! Restaurants are opening left and right!
I wish there were a halal family beach area on the coast side.

All meat for public consumption is halal. Non halal food is a very recent phenomenon especially pushed by American evangelicals.
Are Halal food more healthy than normal sumptuous meal.
Thank you, sir and ma'am.
No, its simply a religious way to prepare the food.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cheers!

Why aren't you guyz adding weight? What's the strategy?
Weight lifting 5 days a week and run 4 days a week. :P We also eat really good on days we are not filming.
I thought halal is basically meat that was prayed for while slaughtering the animal? No?
That is part of it yes.
You can’t halaal shellfish.
Oh really? Are they just automatically or they just aren't halal?
This is the restaurant everyone is hyping on Tiktok??
Not sure... Didn't see anything about it.
