I want to install a proper ground system for surge protection..im using a 4ft solid copper rod ..i had 5ft deep of chipping filling which i removed ..but when i finally reached the soil it's very rocky and there are large rocks underneath..so my question is what if i fill up everything with soil rather than chipping this time..will my 4 ft rod work? As long as the ohms are 25 or below ..would that mean it worked?
