    I always add another profile around the outside about .25mm in and run another tool path at full depth to clean up any lines, most the time it’s perfect and doesn’t need sanding

    Thank You. I always enjoy your take on projects.
    I found a 3/8" multi-tool blade fits into tight radius projects for cutting tabs. You don't have that issue here, but it may be worth $.02 in the future.

    Awesome video. Can you explain how you're setting the offset for each bit? I see you use the touch probe to set z, but how are you setting the x,y offsets?

    Thanks. I did those exact settings and it says its going to take 30 minutes just for the pocketing. Yours says 8? What gives. Thanks.

    As you've used a Radius Cove bit for a normal router, how could you have used an External Roundover bit to shape the base outer curve/round over? Decreasing radius cuts until contact is made or other ?

    Any chance you could do a video on creating box/finger joints in Carbide Create and show the toolpaths as well. I want to be able to cut them off the front of my xxxl shapeoko

    In all my years of woodworking and CNC experience I've never heard that shape of router bit as a 'bull bit'. There is a bull nose bit, ball end bit, round nose bit. But never heard of a bull bit. But cool little tray.

    Just bought an XXL, having trouble with it setting the depth of cut correctly,and not cleaning the whole pocket path,and with having trouble with the internal library working well with changes

    Where can I find this bull / bowl nose end mill? all I can find in amazon is round nose ones.. which would prob give a similar effect / finish...

    On every step he is going too fast. Frustrates trying to do starting projects when all Carbide have is this show off guy receiving compliments and homage. Everyone have a starting point, in case you forgot!

    Could you tell me what you set the parameters of the bowl bit to. So I can add one to my tool path.

      If you slow him way down and then use the pause maybe you can get the parameters you want. That is what I am going to try. He was FLYING through it for sure!

      @@resorter66 Don't have one yet but all of them that I would get are 1/4 inch shank

      @@resorter66 I have a 7/16 bowl bit with 1/4 shank. Might get a 3/4 so I can use the same size as the author is. Also would take about half of the time to clean out the bottom of the project! :)

    any body else unable to choose their new bowl end mill when probing in carbide motion?...

      Probing in X and Y only supports a few preset tool diameters. Easiest way around it is to either:
      1) Load up a different/supported cutter and probe for X and Y, or
      2) Just eyeball your starting position in X and Y.
      For probing Z, tool diameter doesn't matter.

    Winston. I respect your vast knowledge and complete understanding of your CNC abilities. You know your sh@t!. I'm sure I'm not the only one that considers you condescending. Not everyone has your abilities and yet your videos clearly indicate that you don't care.
    You speed through your tutorials like you expect everyone to know what they're doing. You explain way too much and too fast. This video is a perfect example of that. You rushed thru setup like you expect everyone to understand. We all don't understand speeds, feeds, plunge, stepover, etc.
    I used to enjoy watching Carbide 3D tutorials until you took over. Sorry, Carbide 3D but you screwed up. Winston, Come down from your dream cloud and show a little consideration to those of us who are not at your level.
    Goodbye Carbide 3D tutorials. I'll be back when you find someone more respectful to your customers.
