Hey Dave, this was a great class 🐴🤩 thanks for showing it and I hope you can show more of these! So interesting to see the different ways these horses carry their heads and necks - I do not see if it made any difference to their performance.
I believe the spins are called something different depending on where you live. Maybe someone else can clarify. My Uncle raised Quarter Horses. I always called it a pirouette but it can also be called a pivot.
@@MagnificentHorses Pivot and pirouette are french word. We never talk about pirouette in western. A pivot can be perform on front leg or back leg, a spin is always on back leg. You can be an half pivot call roll back in reining. (Sorry if it's not clear, I'm french canadian but I'm a reiner rider :) )
Yes, I like these classes. 💙
@@KT-be2fi OK, thanks for letting me know!
I love the roll back in slow motion
@@darknessravendeath great! Thanks for letting me know!

@@sarahmarks7082 you're welcome, Sarah! And yeah, the head carriage is much different than in most of the videos on my channel.

@@RobynHoodeofSherwood OK thanks for the info! We'll see if anyone else can add anything to that.
Pivot are slower, a spin is supose to be fast
@@darknessravendeath thanks for the info. Other than the speed at which they spin, do you know if there is any other difference between the two?

@@darknessravendeath that's interesting and I've never seen them on their front leg before. Maybe I'll catch an event like that sometime.
I prefer Arabs, but the training here is exceptional!
@@ramonafahrni5701 thanks Ramona! This is definitely a different type of competition from what I normally show.
@@MagnificentHorses 👍
That third horse was a red dun not a chestnut or sorrel.
@@lorirobinson4004 OK cool, and thanks for the info! I will go back and take a look at that one.
