Dr. Abati , I believe you heard the analysis Mr. Kelvin gave regarding NNPC. However, you said yesterday in your morning show that NNPC was not the problem, so what do you have to say now? Please always think through before you analyze some of the issues.
Fellow Nigerians, did you listen very well to the NLC president? When they came back after a week to the negotiating table, they told Tinubu that they came for the minimum wage and not to discuss fuel pricing. They threw away the main issue of deciding either for N250k with fuel price increase or N62k without increase. At the end, Tinubu gave them additional N8k and was freed to decide otherwise on fuel pricing.
My people, after all the back and forth, why did the disorganized Labour throw away their N250k position for N70k on Tinubu's table?
This is a National betrayal by Labour!
It's not Labour's fault..Blame APC with the decisions. Too many debts, Naira devaluation, subsidy removal, etc, are the causes of the present problem in Nigeria.

According to Ajero, the actual plan was for petrol to be sold for 2000 Naira per litre. And we are just at 1200 Naira.🤨 SMH.
The international price of PMS is $1.25, so convert that to Naira, which is N2020.
This is very unfair and deceptive. Tinubu made promises to the leaders of organised labour union that the government will not increase fuel price based on an understanding that the workers should collect a final offer of 70k National Minimum Wage. But few months after that meeting and agreement, Tinubu reneged on it. His action has effectively eroded the value of, and any gains made on the increase in, the salary of workers. What best describes wickedness and insincerity than this exploitative development. Tinubu should be made to reverse the fuel pump price hike or call for a renegotiated upward review of the minimum wage and workers salary.
It's not the minimum wage that matters. It's the "purchasing power" of the Naira that matters most to the common man! NLC should have demanded a better purchasing power of the Naira instead.
Let's not forget that it's only a small percentage of the population that are civil servants. What happens to other people who are not civil servants?
That's why i feel every agreement should have been documented rather than verbal agreement.
The NLC Secretary-General is hopeless. It was apparent from his discussion with the Tinubu government that the price would go up, and the government could not subsidise PMS. The option of a minimum wage of 250000 and the removal of oil subsidies was the best, but he accepted the virtual option of N70,000, and now the fuel price has skyrocketed to N1000 per gallon

The NLC president should resign. He's a failure whom cannot negotiate for workers and carry workers alonge with the outcome of the Negotiations.
It was wrong for NLC to negotiate Minimum wage alone without a firm agreement on other grade in the civil service.
There is an allegation that the so called minimum wage was just a NGN 40,000 addition to workers salary across all grade. Some worker and journalist are still assuming that the minimum wage have not been implemented.
The government can do subsidy. Its the NLC responsibility to negotiate for a fair wage. What is the wage structure of other countries in africa and the world. What is a fair wage for the Nigeria worker. They are putting obstacles everyday to prevent people from travelling.

NLC and TUC should call for reversal of naira floating to naira status quo N450/$ in 2023. It's the Crux of the matter in determining PMS price and other things. As far exchange reminds at what it, PMS price cannot be brought down.

The Secretary General of NLC should have a team of economists and specialists to advise him of the state of affairs. Nigeria cannot continue to subsidise fuel. The minimum wage should have been 250,000 or more.
