- Poppy Playtime chapter 4 gave us a TON of information towards the story. While several of our older theories have been proven or debunked, we also got some very sneaky clues that I think some people might have missed.

i think the toys are becoming "rabid"/feral because of a mixture of starvation and trauma from being experimented on. also anyone else think it's a bit heart breaking that you can see the other two kids trying to hold kevin back when doey turns monstrous?
I feel like there may be some occult fuckery going on too. How do they manage to fit enough vital organs into such small bodies? Why do all these toys have incredibly sharp teeth?
It gets even sadder when you watch a slowed down version of your character's death from Monster Doey. When being held by Monster Doey, about to be eaten, you see one of the boys shaking they're head as if saying no. Also, 2 of the boys are holding Monster Doey's mouth open as if trying to stop him from biting while the 3rd boy has his arms outstretched towards you.

I wish starvation were part of it because that makes sense. However, we know the toys in the safe haven are starving but they’re not showing any signs of becoming feral.

I think the Orphans don’t actually exist- that they either didn’t survive the hour of joy or passed away years ago in order to manipulate Poppy
I’m glad somebody finally said it! I feel that the orphans have passed like you said or were used in later experiments by the Prototype & Sawyer. That would explain the large amount of defunct toys to me.
@@Neo-op3izI was thinking they got transferred once they started to grow sick or starving, to stave off death as well as for further testing. I felt that way with the Nightmare Critters not having tags like Smiling Critters did. Delineating the older ones from newer in some way.

Hear me out, what if the original Ollie was the kid's remains that they had found in Elliots house. Remember in chapter 3 there was a news report of a young boys remains being found on his property through the radio. What if that was the original Ollie and that's how he got the kid's voice
I definitely think it could be the case. I think that was one of the earlier experiments if not Ollie.

I had this thought too! I’m also honestly proud of MOB for keeping with Ollie’s twist despite the theories.
It was the kid who was turned into catnaps body at the steps, left by prototype to be healed in one of the attempts to escape.
Poppy dying would explain why her eyes are so bloodshot and how desperate she is to destroy him…..plus aswell she is a small toy who went probably a few years without food in that case plus the risk of the prototype and his followers getting out if they decide to continue Sawyers work
And they're becoming more and more bloodshot with each chapter btw

I don't think she needs food. Or rather, she doesn't feel hunger. As elliot's creation in contrast with the appetite that was tailored by harley on the later experiments.
There's also a possibility that when elliot is still alive, poppy is constantly have to undergo maintenance every once in a while, however unlike elliot who handled her with care, the process of disassemble and reassemble by the other scientist post the prototype was done with no regards of her well being. The process and the material they use slowly changing poppy from the inside.

Kissy's wounds look like burns. I wonder if the Prototype attacked and singed her as revenge for the player scorching Catnap, since he did seem to care for him to some extent.
Eh....I don't think he cared for Catnap that much. He probably just wants Kissy for more parts and she was just able to get away.
Why take that out on Kissy? Kissy didn't do anything.

I love the fact that "the gentle voices lie" is potentially referring to ollie and that part of doughy knew this
Doey talks about the gentle voices when he kills his parents, before he was officially an experiment.
The 'gentle voices' are the researchers that experiment on him.

Another thing is, presuming poppy was the first successful experiment, it’s interesting that a bunch of the ones who came after her aren’t able to speak
No one knew how poppy works, that's why they were dissecting her. So they couldn't make other toys to be like her for a good while
The prototype was most likely the first successful experiment, and Boxy was the first successful Bigger Bodies.
I'm pretty sure the game has loosely said that the competent experiments who can speak are the ones done by Ludwig and the incomplete ones are the ones done by Sawyer. Sawyer couldn't figure out how to fully transfer a consciousness so that's why he was tormenting/interrogating and reverse engineering parts on the prototype to try and figure out how he works
Welp... Poppy was already dead and resurected to toy's body, while Catnap, Huggy, Riley, Kissy etc. was from living donors.
There is one problem with Elliot tho... He died on '90, while tar of prototype was found in '89 by security guy. But there is no info how Ludwig died.
because they're traumatised... its not that they physically can't speak but are too confused and traumatised by the experiments
If Ollie is the prototype then that means that the entire lengthy plan to eliminate catnap was orchestrated by none other than the prototype. I am very curious what reason for this being. I know that he killed off catnap after the boss fight because he was too weak and everything, but catnap was a very strong and efficient alliance for the prototype so planning his death while he is perfectly healthy is quite interesting.
I think it was one large test for the player tbh
maybe the Prototype realized that Theo was going Rabid and the whole Dogday thing was not in Proto's plans at all leading to him deciding to "mercy kill" Catnap using the burn trauma to snap him back to Theo long enough for him to make peace Mommy was a case of a little too late so he took her remains to use in his experiments to try and end rabidness and Mommy's line about 'making her a part of him" is merely Chinese whispers

in the official discord server it was said that after ollie helped us kill catnap, the prototype kills ollie. that's the reason ollie doesn't respond or congratulate us even after we defeat catnap.
it might be that the new "case" that Poppy will never want to leave, is a new body. perhaps constructed out of all the "perfect" parts of the orphans. then the Prototype just swipes the player's body and they can both walk out of there and start their new, perhaps immortal lives.
I'm not sure what I'm hoping for, but that's one of the possible reasons.

I disagree with Tericho's opinion that the prototype cares for the toys. He did kill all the sane toys in the safe haven. And he allowed catnap to kill and torture the other smiling critters.

Yes he cared about starving toys, and no... He didn't want toys to run away from Factory to do Hour of Joy on the streets.. and as Sawyer is dead, he just now knew that putting human soul is unreversable (can't turn back toy to human)... So killing toys like killing Catnap was mercy from agony.

@ Yeah but he locked her in the box, which could be explained away as protecting her but he sounds very evil towards her when she asks what he is going to do to her and the prototype says he has something special planned for her. It was just an evil vibe when he said that. It didn't sound to me like someone who supposedly cares about her. I think that she is somehow necessary for his plan, maybe having to do with how she doesn't have to eat like other toys and she was really the first successful one, not to mention, Playtime Co was never able to replicate the results they got with Poppy.

1:40 The toys that turn rabid are the ones who had made a deal with the Prototype. If they do his dirty work, they will get fed. It’s a callback to Chapter 3 with Dogday when he said himself, that the small toys will help the Prototype and in turn, they will be fed :3

Yeah, I disagreed with Tericho when he said the Prototype cares and part of the evidence was that he feeds them. It's made clear by Dog Day why he feeds them - so they will be loyal to him (out of fear of starving).

The real question is, who the heck sent us that note?
The letter which starts the game basically backed this idea there was someone to save. Our whole motivation for going there at all but so far all we get is disappointment and lies.
However.... I also do believe that there would need to be a large amount of test subjects in order to keep innovating. Which means he would still need a way to sustain them and since the gas worked on Poppy it is highly likely to have similar effects on the children.
That being said... the Doctor revealed he was not allowed into the labs and for whatever reason the Omnihand did not enable him access w/o additional permission.
So, he would have no idea about what was going on in there and directly stated he had no subjects to work with. Considering his treatment of test subjects was so bad that the higher ups felt bad about it despite their own involvement. If the Prototype is Elliot, then it is VERY likely he does not want the doctor carrying any tests out other than providing insight. Even threatening him with death for not being able to deliver despite lackluster resources.
Of course, the Doctor had some use that only he could provide so he got to stick around. Since this is the case, then there must be some sort of innovation or means to reasonably pursue it.
The same problem still persists that nobody can solve which is not something we have direct confirmation as to what that is when it comes to this research. Again, the Doctor states they couldn't break it at full operational force and have much less to work with now. Leaving the Prototype as the only thing here with total control over the whole facility with the ability to send such a message to us at all.
Since we are apparently some Ex-employee with undetermined status but important enough to be contacted. Mommy openly stated to recognize us, and she was mainly associated with the testing process. Which means we probably operated in a way we were exposed to the truth of Playtime. Enough to weigh on our consciousness to the point a stray letter causes us to jump into action. During a Catnap nightmare we are implied to have "missed the party" it could morbidly suggest we should have died or even participated. This does not mean that we specifically perpetrated any wrongdoing but merely by working here we are implicated as part of the problem.
The tone between Mommy and Catnap both suggest a reactive response to your invasion. Neither was really expecting you, just reacting to your existence in a very passive aggressive manner, especially with Catnap. Which implies they did not really know you that well beyond another face among many more.
Which really begs the question, why bother sending US a letter?

@@Dikkerdjedap i mean thats how cats themsleves hunt typically. Cats hunt their prey and eventually kill them when theyre tired enough, AND in some cases if the cats are donestic they wont be likley to hunt for hunger but rather for sport..

4:53 I'm going to counter this point only because Mommy is one person vs Doey being three different kiddos. This is less of a "going rabid" situation and more of a conflicting inner-turned-outer mess between the three consciousness'. The tape of Dr White talking about Kevin, he mentions that a stray negative feeling could cause problems, and that Doey is 900 lbs worth of Dough, so this is quite feesible for him to achieve without any extra "rabid" effects already. The whole point of play-doh is to make whatever the hell you want out of it, so him changing shape shouldn't be unlikely either, especially if you involve the inner turmoil of the three. What happens to Mommy's eyes is also entirely different, with her pupils widening, almost like she's on drugs, which I can see as "going rabid." The eye color on the three for Doey is so you can actually see the different expressions on the three faces. They're a grey-black color in base, so if they just left the eyes as punched out holes, you wouldn't be able to see them at all.

Originally when I saw Mommy's eyes dilate like that, it reminded me of cats when they're focused on a toy or prey. The toying with the player before hunting them just all came off as like a predatory animal. She just gave up on being playful when the player wasn't gping to keep playing.
Slight issue:
Poppy came about in the 1950s. The Hour Joy happened in 1995, whereafter 1006 put Poppy in the case. That gives her several decades of torture to turn rabid.
Unless there is something special about her we don't know just yet.

Well, we don't know for certain if the Poppy released in 1950 is the same one as we see in the game. We don't know if the toys released prior to the Bigger Bodies Inititiative are alive at all. Poppy could be a lot younger than we expect.
Elliot put everything in his power to find a way to bring his daughter back, so it would make a lot of sense if he had manufactured her a little different than the others.
But Jesus Christ being in a case for 40 years is crazy.

I actually like the theory that the Prototype was the first invention that was sentient without being human. The name "Prototype" suggests that it was a precursor to something. We know that Poppy was made in the 60's and is arguably the first success of putting a human into a toy. The Prototype ended up being too intelligent and the scientists had to keep it contained, thus they may have chosen not to move on with those experiments and stick to using humans.
I think the reason that the prototype talks the way he does, is because he himself has no comprehension of speech, he records others talking and then plays the audio back to talk, like in chapter 3 Harley sawyer said in his tape, the prototype would refuse to speak, by the time he said this the prototype had collected enough audio samples to cohesively talk to sawyer, Thanx for reading
The one thing about poppy in chapter 4 of the entire game is that whenever anybody sees her blood red eyes I feel like inside that toy doll vessel she's really dying and the others don't know about it not even kissing Missy or even the main character
I’ve got an idea for a theory: I think the blue hand represents huggy in ppt. This is because the blue hand stays with us the whole time and as we know huggy was alive the whole time. As we know the red hand was taken by mummy and she died. Catnap took the green hand and died. So I think when huggy dies I think the blue hand will go
I think we'll probably save huggy and Turn on poppy because I have a theory that kissy and huggy are linked but that affect as wore off over Time and that they still have some what of a link but not anymore 😁🙂

Factory's have lever on Specific Railings for people who want a closer look but Jack tripped the lever by mistake and Harley took avenge of Situation and push Jack into the Solution. 🙂😁

Could have been him, just what is shown in the clip with the railing being about as tall as Jack himself and how fast it all happens seems weird. Someone does say "turn off that camera" which is also odd during a emergency
Edit: also, why would Sawyer (who we don't hear in the clip) push a random kid into the solution? Him taking advantage of it I could see, but he accessed the kids from Playcare for who would be "ideal" for Projects
I'd like to believe poppy playtime won't have a happy ending. I think, under the influence of the hallucinogenics, we'll see the prototype as different then what we all thought and we'll be manipulated into becoming the last ever bigger bodies experiment to happen with the protoype using Sawyers knowledge and will just end with us in the losest level of the factory as a toy while the prototype romes free, and the last shot will be its true form.
THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT OF EVERYTHING THE PLAYER WENT THROUGH IF IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING?!!

I doubt we are ever making it out of the factory. The Prototype won't let us leave.
They should create two or more separate story paths with unique endings to get that tragic ending and also have a much more satisfying one as well. Than leave it to player interpretation as to which ending is real and which is all a hallucination
I also don't think that this game will have a good ending there is no way that we can defeat him. well do you know why the prototype said poppy and himself as 'special' & why the hell prototype body is so different then others like others are transferred into toys but he is a walking Machine. Also why the hell did they make him ? Why is he so different then others ?.do guys really think that all these answers we will get in one chapter l think there will be at least 2-3 more parts of it . And who is the real villain poppy or prototype?
In the final battle with doey, we can also hear the phrases like "mommy, daddy, I want to go home!" "mommy, daddy, I don't want to stay here any longer."
Which I think is jack. "The gentle voices lie!" "They hurt us..." being a broken Matthew. Along with the monsterous kevin.
15:20 There is a chinese novel in which there is a trope about a god that wanted to save the common people. Gods cannot intervene in the commoners lives unless there are ghosts or demons involved, yet he didn't listen. When he tried to help his kingdom, he only made matters worse which leaded to his downfall.

I just figured something out, notice how Elliot's name uses the words to create 'Ollie'. The 'Elli' part is sort of reversed, putting the 'O' in front instead of second to last to create the supposed nickname, 'Ollie'.

I like the idea that maybe the reason Poppy's eyes are so blood shot is a more simple reason. I think it'd be interesting if her eyes are like that is because she's now afraid of sleeping since she was put in a case that most likely had that sleeping gas in it, which is known for giving vivid nightmares. Do I have any real proof of this idea? No, not really. I just think it'd be neat if something like this had a much more simpler explanation than something overly complicated(which wouldn't be a bad thing if it was complex)

When The Prototype said “You beat us, you stick us, you tear at flesh, do you feel it?” Was he possibly referring to himself AND Poppy? I’m not entirely sure if he was, but I think it’s possible.
Makes sense! They both were the first SUCESSFUL experiments. It would also sorta explain why the Prototype is disguised as Ollie and bonding with Poppy. He understands her pain and she understands his...
Sure, but it's implied that they did this to _all_ of the toys, not only the two of them. I think Poppy and the Prototype just survived longer than anyone else, so they were examined more often.

Despite Poppy never outright referring to The Prototype as Elliot or her father, which could mean that they aren’t one in the same, I theorize that she no longer sees the Prototype as Elliot after all that he has become, or she doesn’t know that Ludwig was turned into The Prototype

The fact that the Prototype would kill for Poppy makes me think of the end of the CH 1 trailer. We can hear someone breathing looking around with a flashlight until they shine the light on Poppy. Sitting in a white chair with blood all around. CH 4 gives the CH 1 Poppy Playtime trailers a whole new meaning.
Jack is well aware what he is capable from his powers, a main character of his own world, but he's harmless enough to share his world he consider him as friend.
While rabid is a pretty concise way to put it, I don’t think it’s any kind of condition exclusive to *being* toys. Being made into toys is of course traumatizing but it’s important to remember that puberty and thus physical and mental maturity is kicked off with hormonal changes in the body. The toys no longer have that, their minds are frozen in time and yeah, they do actually behave like traumatized children. Erratic behaviour, violent outbursts and more specifically a fixation on fairness are all associated with childhood trauma. It may be more accurate to say the children are just dissociating. Separating themselves from their reality, unable to cope with the world around them they just act as though it’s happening to someone else.
thank you, it seems everyone keeps forgetting they are children not adults. they are adding logic to something that hasn't learned such logic and can never mature. probably why Mathew (15 years old) was the most stable and a leader to them for so long. he at least had some of the changes needed for maturity.

A small detail idk if anyone else noticed: When Doey turns himself into a bridge after saying “there’s lots of nasty falls in this place,” the three multicolored arms on his body are pointing to the other side.

I have a theory that the prototype is like Doey. Perhaps there is more than one personality, which would explain why he cares for Poppy. But the other personality likes the idea of living forever, whoever they are, they see Poppy as a threat. Also why did the Prototype let the player live until the end of chapter 4? They had several opportunities but yet they didn’t why?
I thjnk poppy is only a threat because shes trying to take all of playco out by blowjng the place up , wnd he most likley is trying to protect her becauses shes the ideal bigger body they all wanted
I think the secret in The Prototype, the one Dr. Sawyer was trying to figure out, is that It doesn't need to eat or drink to stay alive. Same goes for Poppy, I believe she doesn't need any substance to stay alive as well. So, the Prototype right now is trying to create, basically, an immortal being, just like him and Poppy. What if the protagonist was a successful experiment? Like some kind of immortal human like doll.
And the prototype is just testing if we would turn rabid after all the trauma.
I was wondering if the player was involved with the transfer process. We know that they sometimes used staff members (e.g. the Bron incident as well as the Doctor himself). We can also suspect the player has been down to the labs prior to the ending of chapter 4 (due to the auditory hallucinations in chapter 4) I wondered if the player was transferred at some point (idk if it went so far as to transfer into a toy) but the player was transferred back into a human body (their original human body or a different staff members body idk) and that could possibly be the secret the Prototype and the Doctor wanted to find out? But it's not really supported by much evidence ☺️
My theory is Ollie might've been another child of Elliot Ludwig. We don't even know if his daughter was his only child. Maybe The Prototype is a "brother" to Poppy. Because in Poppy's tape, she even mentions she wishes her dad was still around. That means the prototype can't be Elliot, unless she isn't aware of it.
There is also a BIG similarity between Poppy and the Prototype,
All the toys need to eat "flesh" to live.
Instead The Prototype doesen't need any substance to function!!
And probably neither Poppy, since she was lock for years in her cage, without any problem!!
Yeah my understanding was the need to feed was added later by the scientists who took over the bigger bodies initiative because it would make the toys easier to control.
The prototype also takes parts of the dead toys. Before Mommy's death, she wasn't scared about dying, she was terrified of being 'made a part of him' which was made even more sinister when we realize that the Prototype had been waiting behind the semi-open door for us to kill her. Catnap's shrine also is an amalgamation of the dead toys in the shape of the prototype. They also did the same with Dogday, multiple toys merging into one rabid being.
I think that's why Doey was the next 'boss battle', showing us that 'yes, multiple consciousnesses were experimented to be put in one form. But, it seems the prototype WAITS until they die and possibly uses what is useful of them and/or absorbs their consciousness - which would be why he's also good at mimicking voices. So whatever happened to Ollie, the Prototype definitely 'absorbed' him.
The deceased staff provided food for the time being until the prototype began feeding other toys to the rabid ones who 'worshipped him' like Dogday said. So the Prototype definitely sees himself as a God and encouraged Catnap to have others treat him that way too. However, this lines up with 'if Poppy betrayed the Prototype, then why was she put to sleep instead of killed?' which goes back to Elliot being the Protoype in my opinion.
And if Poppy is already 'rabid' then the prototype (merging with the other toys) is certainly rabid by now with the only thing grounding him being Poppy his daughter. I don't know where I'm going with this lol
It still doesn't explain why we were lured back to the factory after 10 years. The Prototype must know something about us. Since Poppy was still in her case by the time we received the tape, who sent it along with the message? Who wanted us to let Poppy out?

To add to the theory that the prototype is the one who attacked Kissymissy, when we first enter the safe haven Doey says "You brought him down-" implying that the prototype was previously above despite the labs being below.
Also, does anyone know if there has been a theory as to why the prototype has been keeping the orphans? If they're still human I presume they could leave the factory, especially considering how the prototype has presumably been capable of killing all the other toys within the last 10 years but didn't do so. I doubt he kept the children out of fear of them being attacked by toys whilst ascending the factory.
Perhaps because the orphans would tell the outside world about the living toys ?
I was also thinking about the idea of Elliot being the prototype. His weird condescending way of talking to Poppy like a parent,or at least someone too familiar with her (which, well, makes sense since he talked to her for a long time as Ollie). ALSO, Ollie can be an anagram of Elliot. You got it right, hahaha. The only thing about it that might disprove the theory are the timelines. WHEN was the prototype created? When did Elliot die? I always get the impression the prototype was created when Elliot was still alive. AFAIK in the orientation book, Elliot's been dead in the 90's, and BOxy Boo, experiment 1160 (while prototype is 1006) has been created in the 90s. The lack of certain dates and its general vagueness is a little frustrating.
I think you’re right that The Prototype is Eliot. However at some point he as the Prototype turned feral/rabid in his quest to save Poppy. This would explain why at the start The Prototype , as Eliot, he tried to help the children and now, as The Prototype, is now killing the experiments (which we know some of them are the orphans) in order to use then to save Poppy and most likely in his now crazed mind, kill her. I hope that made sense.

Catnap’s death at the end of ch3 was a merch killing. He didn’t want him to go through the burning/electrocution pain again and took him out.
Tbh it'll be super funny if prototype's scary voice is purely because he can only mimic spoken words (except for ollie for some reason..) and he actually is trying to be comforting but the resources he has just doesn't work.
Of course the threatening of killing kissy and us doesn't help much
I have a few questions about the Player. When the other toys meet you, they know you. They know you used to work there. But Doctor Sawyer says he doesn't know you or recognize you. He asks why you're there. Does this mean the Player left the company before he was hired for some reason? Or is the Player one of the experiments that somehow got out? Poppy mentions in either Chapter 3 or 4 about making the Prototype or the other scientists pay for what he or they did to the Player. Or was she talking to Kissy? And who was it who sent the Player the tape and the letter?

The big body initiative was supposed to Decrease the employment at the factory. The toys were regular toys outside of the factory.

Ok so here is a crazy speculation (which is most likely untrue). What is Ollie himself was Prototype. I mean that the human child himself was transferred to the Prototype's body. That would explain why the Prototype can talk in Ollie's voice smoothly and easily without changing the tone.
i don't think the prototype is a child. he's far too intelligent and patient to be one.
I think it is more likely "working with" The Prototype is coded language for it absorbing the soul of that toy. There was an Ollie, once. But not any longer. And The Prototype is multiple souls, more than even Doey.

In Poppy Playtime 2's documentary on Elliot Ludwig, we never see his face nor his legs. In Chapter 4 we see a shadow of the prototype but only his legs. I think this is a hint that the prototype is Elliot's head and torso but with the legs we saw in Chapter 4
The Prototype, to me, comes off as an abuser that doesn't realize they are one. With how he wants to isolate Poppy (in his case, killing the others), much like how abusers often isolate their victims by damaging any support group they have that isn't the abuser. If he is Elliot, he probably thinks he's doing what's best for the both of them when - like you said - he's traumatizing her and pushing her closer to the edge. Which all would be extremely interesting and tragic writing

I think this is one of your best theories yet, while I think it’s the obvious choice for prototype to be Eliot, I think poppy going rabid and seeing the downfall of poppy and the prototype would make all of this awesome!
I just realized that the beginning of each chapter has a commercial of the main antagonist. The only exception is chapter 1, which started the entire game… with POPPY. In addition, if Kissy is helpful, then I feel that Huggy will be as well, because a) Huggy wasn’t given a commercial, and therefore not shown as an antagonist, and b) they are similar in design.
I guess this means that poppy is the main villain
Notice how the prototype only allows us or helps us kill off any toy only after they have gone “rabid”, and then proceeds to steal their bodies? Maybe he’s using that as help to research a way to either cure or remove the reason they go rabid according to this theory. And Eliot he as his final prototype was able to remove that but in a way he didn’t want to, by stripping his personalities and morality which could explain why he doesn’t have his voice at all. Just some ideas and evidence to help support these theories

You can see red blood marks around ourselves when we get damaged during fighting the smaller toys if they end up hitting us or in the doctor chase when the robots attack us plus the toys are organic and bleed ether way so it can’t really prove anything and in my opinion I think the reason we don’t talk is probably to allow the player to speak for their own character and hide who we really are which is likely someone with high authority on the poppy playtime company and that also may be why poppy calls us perfect considering we have a lot of knowledge about the toys and this company and actually seem to have a much better heart then anyone else with our knowledge

Elliot being the Prototype is a theory that I have seen and supported throughout this entire franchise. I also had a thought that if he is 1006, maybe all the blurred out Elliot pics are a shrine or something that the Prototype made himself. A mural of the human he once was, to now the main antagonist of the franchise he is today.
5:03 Tericho,bear in mind that actually from some angles you can still see Doey's normal eyes, like when he dies!! You can see that they're in the same place as before and his whole head ends up looking like Boogey from Nightmare Before Christmas!
The thing with Elliot being the Protype is that I believe there's a note from Project Playtime (?) where Elliot is alive when they made the Protype. That could get retconned or he could still be a part of it after he died,but why sneak in that note if they were going to make it Elliot?
One weird idea. What of the orphans are still alive but a Held as livestock. I mean there is food in the factory and possible water so the Prototype could kept some of the children to feed the toys he needs.
I don't think that the Prototype killed anybody in the safe haven, he has no reason to kill them if all he's after is Poppy just killing them for no good reason feels out of character, especially seeing that he, left a body? He is shown to add experiments to himself so just killing and leaving makes no sense tbh..

Except you're overlooking the fact the Prototype isn't above using violence, his first failed escape attempt resulted in a death, safe haven was wiped out since everyone was technically in on the plan to kill the Prototype and destroy the factory.
I see a lot of Batman references here. Victor Fries locking away Nora to save her. Or Poppy losing who she is in repeated resurrections of the Lazarus Pit (poppy flower gel)
something i noticed while looking at doeys monstrous form is that you can see three heads and some hands in his mouth,two heads being sad and one angry and i think its actually a really cool detail cause it shows matthew,kevin and jack in the experiment,which proves more that doey is a mix of 3 kids and i like that attention to detail :D
this made so much sense!! I also feel that maybe ollie conducts these test for the player in case we might actually be competent enough to save them from everything and maybe himself while ollie continues his plan in case we failed to do so
I believe that there are actually no orphans that’s survived because even if they are just „sleeping „ they probably died of starvation
They are in cryogenic pods which, at just the right temperature, can theoretically make humans last for many years

Im pretty sure it is somewhat canon that elliot had preformed surgery on poppy to save her but antoher thing is that poppy is the first succesful and like ideal bigger body. Her full consious was apssed, she doesnt feel hunger and doesnt seem to feel pain based off her vhs tape to ollie where she said the more they experimented on her she felt it less
@@charliepuppy. of course he did. we have documents from the company with Elliot's personal notes on it describing his resurrection attempts with rats. the personal notes from Dr. Sawyer describe his steps from giving up on rats and using the orphans instead. what else proof do peoples need. that's why I don't understand how peoples still can glorify Elliot as a good guy. he never was.
I'm pretty sure Chapter 4 revealed that the Prototype is who imprisoned Poppy but I could be wrong.

My question is why the change in personality only happen after meeting us? Mommy long legs has literally her eyes change in time... We know it's years the toys exist why go crazy in the 1 day timespan when they meet us? Doey received a trauma but what about all the others? Catnap probably was killed becouse he was going insane and the prototype had to save poppy.
Ps: The reason why Poppy agree with the prototype about the necessity of the toys staying in the factory is because they consider hightly probable the "bigger body initiative" will resume once outside in the attempt to make someone immortal. The prototype after all doesn't need to eat so he is kind of like a god in some senses.

Catnap wasn't killed because he was going insane, he offered himself to the prototype as a sacrifice, so the prototype allowed it. But I mean, one thing is spending ages alone with your trauma, another is having an unexpected visitor who you recognise as one of the employees and therefore complicit in your trauma, and therefore you go on the war path

I think 1006 being elliott makes a lot of sense considering the fact that kids don’t typically listen to their parents, it very much gives off that dynamic
I just think it’s strange that at the beginning of every chapter they introduced us to the toy we will eventually have to defeat at the end. Mommy longlegs, catnap, and doey. Chapter 1 introduced is to poppy. It makes me wonder if she is the toy at the end we will have to defeat somehow.
There was a real Ollie the Prototype even says so in my play through. So the prototype was not ollie back in the video.
I think it's also important to consider The Golden Path Dr. Sawyer keeps referencing could have something to do with alchemy or Buddhism. If Buddhism he could be referencing a path of illumination/enlightenment. If Alchemy, he could be referencing the goal of the philosopher's stone - which depending if you're talking physical or spiritual alchemy could either represent eternal life (the more common understanding in modern day) or attaining The Self, ie understanding yourself and your ultimate possibilities both good and bad.
What if in Chapter V, Poppy ends up becoming a part of 1006.
That fit with a theory i had with poppy turning into the Weatley of the game.
what I notice is, at times poppies eyes are white, but in others, and the beginning, her eyes are a stinging raw red.
Maybe the red sleep gas irritates her?
I don't think Elliot is the Prototype. And if he is I don't think Poppy knows it. In her tape where she confirns that she is Elliot's daughter, it's while wishing he was with her. She talks about how she misses him and wants to hear one of his speeches again. As if she hasn't seen him since he died.
If Elliot is the prototype and Poppy knows, she wouldn’t talk about him like that, with rose coloured glasses and happy memories. I'd think she'd hate what he's become and wish he'd stop hunting her and her friends.
A part of me would like to believe that we might end the Poppy Playtime series with a 6th chapter and not on a 5 chapter system. I can imagine that 1006 may be a villain in chapter 5 but he’s not killed. Poppy begins to turn more and more before finally snapping by attempting to kill the player and The Prototype and, depending on what our role actually was at Playtime, might see The Prototype become an ally. I think this as a possibility since The Prototype always seemed to have the opportunity in every chapter to kill us but he never did and it appears from the glimpses that we saw in chapter 4, he absolutely could have considering he looked like he wasn’t that far behind us

A double boss fight between Poppy and The Prototype, both are fighting eachother and the player after they uncover everything and try to escape the factory, and Huggy pushing us out to escape as the entire place crumbles would be a very poetic ending to everything.
And everything is revealed to the outside world

tericho i have a theory what if the same technology that preserved poppy in her case is what the prototype has been using to preserve the orphans. i can just imagine the prototype submerging these orphans in baths of poppy juice to mummify them (like how Egyptians preserved corpses in honey) due to its supernatural properties in the context of playtime and it is this juice that prevents what tericho pointed out with the eventual rabidness of toys going insane. as we know that with a lack of sleep obviously people go mad and their attention spans shorter much like what we see with the rabid toys.

Love your videos Tericho! Chapter 4 was so good. I wonder if poppy is the big bad. Will she have a final form of some kind? Or maybe the prototype attempts to fix her again and it goes wrong maybe resultinin her mutating or something as she doesn't seem too threatening in her current form.
The way Prototype talked to Poppy near the ending sounds like a father dissapointed to his daughter, it's like a relationship of an abusive father to her daughter.
Also, if you put the name Ollie backward it's become Ellio with the word "T" added in the back.
7:58 I'm not sure if the CG5 music video is meant to be canon. The Prototype didn't seem to care much about Catnap, outside of saving him when he was still Theo. And even then, Proto was just using him as a means of escaping.
I always assumed the reason they couldn't leave was because they'll die when exposed to sunlight - mostly because of that Kickin Chicken cutout that talks about going outside then screaming the moment he does. I also assumed it was the reason that they kept digging deeper for new facilities.
