Hasan Kaçan was born on December 10, 1957 in the İncesu district of Kayseri. Later, when he was 5 years old, he and his family came to Istanbul from Kayseri and settled in Dolapdere. His father is a barber. Metin Kaçan, the author of the book Ağır Roman, is his brother.
Hasan Kaçan's life changed when he met Oğuz Aral during his secondary school years. After secondary school, he worked as an illustrator for the famous humor magazine "Gırgır" for 15 years, and his band cartoons Eşşek Herif and Cork became popular cartoons. After Gırgır, Hasan Kaçan, who also drew cartoons in magazines and newspapers, made himself accepted in television and cinema.
He also worked as a columnist for the Star newspaper in the 90s. He played the character of Herodot Cevdet in the TV series "Bread Boat", the script of which he wrote himself.
He published a humor magazine called Keskin Ustura in the 90s. Moreover; He was one of the producer partners of 'PANA Film', which produces TV series such as Kurtlar Vadisi and Kurtlar Vadisi Terror with characters such as Polat Alemdar, Süleyman Çakır and Memati. He left in 2011.
He served as the representative of Nasreddin Hodja on July 5-10, 2008, within the scope of the International Konya Akşehir Nasreddin Hodja Memorial and Humor Days.
In 2013, they played together Hasan Kaçan, Şebnem Sönmez, Cezmi Baskin, Fırat Tanış, Vildan Atasever and Burak Satıbol in the movie "Exile Cow".
Hasan Kaçan has two sons.
