strobe for me on a couple levels. Both had decent punchlines and combos but strobe built better rounds with more spacial awareness, musicality, and movement. I like breakin combos and connects but having different triggers and textures is crucial to making material pop. Strobe won that 3-0 on skill for me. On a production note like everyone I had a tough time with the audio and crowd noises. Also, not sure if these are prerecorded or not but the camera angle is entirely too close for some movements so I hope dancers who tut less will have wider shots...
Strobe, I saw a lot more dancing from strobe and he for sure labbed, X became all arms after a while but still had mad killers, shit was close but strobe was consistent and had more aspects
Yo I truly appreciate battlefest for stepping up their production big time. There were a couple things I had a issue with Battle fest's production : - I feel like the camera didn't do a great job catching some X's movement especially his first round. - The fake audio loses the essence of what battlefest brings when it comes that genuine crowd reaction Everything else was great, when it comes to displaying the song and Dj of each round. The stage , lights, how the dancers entered the ring. It was a great show and experience overall. Now the Battle, Oh my fucking god this was such a phenomenal battle. These two dancers literally push the envelope of dancers can do with their arm. This was Godly Top tier shit. I had to stop every 5 minutes just to process what I saw. Major respect to both dancers because I saw a lot concepts, material and movement that I've never seen before. Round 1 : Strobe won. Hands down only because he utilized his entire time with material without going flat at any point. X just had that small paused in between his round but that shit was still flawless. Round 2 : Slight edge on X. just by a little Round 3: X took it! X was consistent his entire round. I don't know what happen to strobe. I don't know if he got gassed or what but his round was too short for me. Not only that but strobe had a lot stalls (stalling from bar to bar) in between his rounds. Winner is X Either way these are not a lot of dancers can step in the ring. Classic battle. Best Battle of 2020 thus far

Strobe’s hands are absolutely beautiful and poetic to watch - his lines are so clean- it’s beautiful . Does he sign? ?? He should learn it and add to his dance, but it seems like he does or at least familiar with sign language.

X with his breaks into tuts back into a break and his concepts were 🔥🔥 and strobe with the crazy tuts and fingers were doing numbers too, some super dope concepts as well . I gotta rewatch again but just from the jump and after watching full thing once , I feel X took this one . Definitely was a hard choice , regardless both winners in my book for making it to a tv series and overcoming all their obstacles in life and coming out on top and successful doing what they love . Tie. Strobe did something outside of the camera's vie on purpose I think, but X was doing some digit work while bonebreaking that I wish the camera was able to catch. It's hard to keep up though. If Strobe was not resetting in the first round (stopping one concept to start another) then he would have won for me.
First of all loveee the concept! I wish the lighting was better though, from the host to the dancers to the audience, I had a hard time seeing all the contorting because of lighting. Black shirts with a dim light place, and a darker skin tone, i feel alot of the good contorts get lost in the haze of the lighting. Anyways round 1 goes to Strobe more clear tricks, got more of my attention. Round 2 i go X, they both had some good finger tutting, the contorting im not to familiar with so i cant say if something is a good tort or not, it all looks complicated ;) Around 3 i go Strobe do to slower tricks it makes people like me get a clearer visual. I watch the clip three, just to give it a fair (for me) vote. I liked both dancers though, it makes it good to see when they both have good energy
