Silva will be my favorite player for a long time, he has everything, exceptional. He is a monster technically, but even better as a human being. Deserves everything in this life.
Sid Lowe of the guardian, well done for acknowledging Silva's strength, apart from his skill, wonderful technical ability, he is one tough character, he isn't scared of getting stuck in. He's given us City fans 10 magnificent years, as a veteran city fan of 55 it's been a privilege to watch the best player ever to play for us. We're sure going to miss him.
Did the journalist say that Valencia is not one of the big Spanish clubs? Probably they are in trouble now because of financial problems, but historically, and specially when Silva, Villa, Mata and other classy players arrived, it was one of the best teams so far.

I think it's perhaps how its looked on globally. We here say Leeds are a "big club", damn, even looking at Nottingham Forest and what they won 40 odd years ago, yet nobody really says they are a big club, but they have such history.. so I believe it's more when you think of Spain, it's mainly 2 or 3 that crop up now... same with Germany with Dortmund and Bayern and Scotland with the Glasgow teams and then PSG in France (although Lyon dominated it a short while back too)
That got me gutted.

David understands English and has done the occasional interview in English. He just isn't comfortable speaking it, and doesn't want to make a silly mistake when doing that sort of interview.
