It’s up to us as parents: teach finance (investing, budgeting, credit building and debt-avoidance), basic sewing, cooking, laundry, hygiene and personal appearance, basic maintenance and repairs, common sense safety measures, home fire prevention and fire fighting, emergency reaction, Etc. The lord blessed me with a good woman. We've been married for 17 years now, with two teenagers, and a very unexpected one on the way. It's definitely hard work just keeping your marriage in order. It has seemed to get easier, but there are some hard times behind us. You learn to pick, and choose your battles, and not get worked up over small things. We're fairly old-school though, I'd say, and I hope to take my last breath beside her.
Spoken like a wise man. We cannot get caught up in the petty issues and derail the train to our final destinations. Stay the man. Stay in control. Stay together.
What these women don't consider is men built this world that came with a lot of pain. Women want to avoid pain at all costs yet they think they equal to men.

"Wife school". I had to chuckle at that. The feminist would burn the building down at any university that considered teaching such a thing. But all joking aside, many a southern bell went to "charm" or "finishing" school 50 years ago. I will be honest, I do think universities need to teach courses on "life skills". I mean in this day and age, how many 20 somethings know how to write a check, service a vehicle, or cook food with more than two ingredients? If you check their kitchen, do they even own cookery beyond a pot or two?
@@superdave8248 that is supposed to be the parents job. I don't know if you have kids, but if you did, did you try teaching them those life skills and why they are important? @@johnwright6706 Agreed. It should have been the parents' job to do these things. Do I have biological children? No. I have stepchildren and they were both grown adults when I started getting involved with their mother. So I can't speak on what they were taught and what they were not. But I see it the disconnect. My wife can cook. But when I hear my stepdaughter talking to her mom, she doesn't make complex meals. They are basic. If she and her SO want a complex meal they eat out. Is that a failure of the mom to teach these types of skills or is it a failure on the daughter to use the skills she was once taught? To be honest I have no idea. I just know from my own experience that once you stop using skills those skills wither like dead leaves on a vine. You might have been able to make the best cake in the world, but if you haven't baked a cake in 10 years odds are the first one you do bake again isn't going to be up to the old standard. I'm a product of the public school system of the 1970s and 80s. In middle school everyone had to take half a year of Home Economics. And yes, it covered these very things. High School also had a similar course but I never took it so I have only assumptions on what was taught. But it was primarily targeting towards females. If the public education system back then saw a need for such classes and even make one mandatory for all students, I can't help but think in this day and age it is even more necessary than previously. When I graduated high school I knew a single person that came from a single parent home. People who divorced simply remarried. The friend in this case her parents had separated while she was in high school. I don't even recall if they finalized the divorce or not. And nobody had a parent who was a widow. But about 10 years ago I was looking through a calendar one of the local school's produced. It had pictures of students and their families. Half the pictures were single family households. Half. And that wasn't even a two generation difference. Going from no single family homes to half. When you are dealing with single parent households, when do you have the time to focus on life skills? Between school, homework, and extracurricular activities, there just isn't time in one person's day. And it is even worse if there is more than one child in the house.

That is the clear sign of a person NOT ready to get married and I have been marred for 23 years. When you get married, it's a partnership of what each person brings to the table that they can't on their own or with great cost. It's about reaching life goals and sharing life's changes together because both people know they helped each other get there. She was preparing to become a wife and mother and it showed. It put her so far ahead of all the shallow girls around her who were only interested in where the best deals on clothes were and what concerts were coming up.
I was just about to say all the girls that grew up learning how to be a wife and a mother get snatched up quick and are married by their early twenties.

When the youngest was old enough, she went back to school, got her degree, now she has a good career too. A woman can have it all, but she has to do the marriage/kids part first, then the career part after. A 40 year old woman doesn't have the energy to keep up with toddlers but a woman in her 20s does.

Being a housewife or feminine, in the traditional sense, is pushed as being oppressed these days by the modern Left who control culture and media. That's the major problem.
12:23 Bruh, that’s one of the most profound things I’ve ever heard & it’s so spot on. Women have to basically be in love with you for you to get them “fully” on board, and even that’s not enough in the long run.
And love is not enough. Because one day they will fall out of love with their husband..... then what? Romantic type love in a marriage ebbs and flows, it comes and it goes. Because of this, one cannot build a structure upon it. One cannot make romantic love the edifice or foundation of a marriage. But this is exactly what so many modern women do, and this goes a long way to explain why 80% percent of all divorces are initiated by women. This is why so many wives are out here cheating, they're looking for that "love" feeling again.
@@commandericeman8588 Religious pressure, social pressure and fault divorce kept feels in check. This is good. That way it becomes ingrained in the women to be wives, like second nature, or rather FIRST nature. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Exactly.....I had African training growing up in London.
@SOULREBELABYSS amen to that.

Once upon a time, learning how to be a wife actually was a course taught back in high school: Home Economics.
Of course, the social engineers took it out of the schools to get the current day outcome. It's all about breaking down a society, make money doing it at the same time and bring in a new society that they're more in control of. Global reset.
@@jahkarimirza7286 YES!!! In fact there's a book called 'The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America' by a woman who worked for the government during the years when they were making these changes and it's basically a tell-all of how these "social engineers" (nice way of putting it, lol) have worked to intentionally destroy society to the point where things are as messed up as they are today.
That course was taken out years ago, well my son stated they “ call “ it something else. But your not learning about daily life stuff 💆🏾♀️💆🏾♀️🤦🏽♀️
It’s up to us as parents: teach finance (investing, budgeting, credit building and debt-avoidance), basic sewing, cooking, laundry, hygiene and personal appearance, basic maintenance and repairs, common sense safety measures, home fire prevention and fire fighting, emergency reaction, Etc. Or you can expect school to cover hopefully 1% of any one of these topics.

The hardest thing I'm encountering is breaking through to my son that no one else will try to teach him these things later for free.
Nice 😂

She was preparing to become a wife and mother and it showed. It put her so far ahead of all the shallow girls around her who were only interested in where the best deals on clothes were and what concerts were coming up.
I was just about to say all the girls that grew up learning how to be a wife and a mother get snatched up quick and are married by their early twenties.
Yup, she was 19 when we married, and I didn't have a job or a car even, but I had prepared to be a father and husband. I was in university preparing for a career. She worked and help put me through school, then I worked and she stayed home and raised our kids. It took a lot of sacrifice (no 6 figures here) but it worked. When the youngest was old enough, she went back to school, got her degree, now she has a good career too. A woman can have it all, but she has to do the marriage/kids part first, then the career part after. A 40 year old woman doesn't have the energy to keep up with toddlers but a woman in her 20s does.

Japan is done. They have one of the lowest birthrates in the world. Their older generation is dying off faster than they can replace them. There’s two present generations of women who do not want to live the lives that their mothers and grandmothers had by committing to long term relationships from dating to the grave…. But want the financial security while conducting their selves in a manner to ruin what they have had or some never will have…

Ask a wife who's been happily married, not unhappily married.
Marriage is also not the answer you being a woman to know a woman is always looking whether she is married or not that’s the whole point of procreation you are searching for the best possible option meaning the best situation, and genetics. Marriage only benefits preachers marriage chapels government organizations etc. marriage is not a natural action in the natural response someone being forced to stay with one person or a voice in themselves to stay with the person is to leave or cheat on that person there is nothing that will stop nature at the end

This is literally the quote of the year thus far....
I'm 43 years old and maybe I'm still stuck in another generation, but there is something that irks me when I hear a 24 year old call a 50 something year old man by his first name. Definitely a different time than the one I was brought up in.
And we don't even have a time machine🤦
I think it’s his preference. When some callers do call him Mr. Samuels he tells them it’s not necessary.
A little boy asked me my name and I said Ms. (First name). My 10 year old son corrected me and told the boy it's Mrs. (Last name). 😂😂😂 Excuse me, sir.
I’m 56 and I don’t call people Mr. or Mrs, So and So, I never did. Nor did I hear anyone my age expect to be called that. Most people respond with Mr. So and So is my father call me by my first make.
I am 20 years old and I share your sentiments. Ughh maybe it’s the Nigerian in me that could absolutely never.
the end is so funny because he's telling her "more silence" but she literally cannot stop talking
Got me screaming, "SILENCE".
Not only that, but every time he said silence she got LOUDER to agree with him. She was consistently on the 'I'm not like other girls' energy, even though that exact idea and energy is preciselyy what makes her like all the other girls.
For real.. The silence part is gonna be too hard for her to do.
I couldn’t 😭😭
I started laughing my ass off. ABSOLUTELY hopeless.
Some men do take that chance though. My husband took it on me. When we met he expected me to be a wife and I wasn't prepared. We talked about it the other day and I told him I didn't know that what he expected of me and that's why we struggled so much in the beginning of our relationship. Its been 4 years now. I'm a full time stay at home mom and wife and I love it. I was willing to learn grow and change to get here and by gods grace hes had patience and has worked with me to get were we are. Now he says I'm a great wife and mom and I'm very happy about that. It was very very hard to be a wife from the very beginning because I didn't know how to be one. Now when I have a daughter I know I will teach her how to be a wife and a mother so that it will be easier for her when she gets married.

The problem with their definition of “love” is that it depends on how they FEEL at the moment.
@@commandericeman8588 you nailed it. Chasing a high cause they, "Just don't feel it anymore."
@@commandericeman8588 Religious pressure, social pressure and fault divorce kept feels in check. When you'd lose your income, your reputation and your ability to remarry you thought twice about divorce (and you had to come to court with proof, none of that "I feel"). Women felt oppressed by that system. Now they feel done wrong by the freedom they fought for. No matter how much Kevin preaches and how much they get it today, the social system is not in place to curb the power of feels tomorrow.

The second the house needs to be cleaned or the family fed, she’s gunna cry. Seen it too many times. Especially her mom didn’t have a husband. She doesn’t know what one is.
