Cool but in photoshop or affinity photo or photopea (free), you could just get the image, write your text and make it vertical, then bring in a rectangle covering half of the image, then set the text as a mask for the rectangle, which also eliminates human error in the process, and making it way easier
Good advice but not everyone has photoshop or afford to pay for it. Canva is free. They have adobe illustrator on their programs bar so clearly im sure they know that.
Photoshop is much more advanced type of photo editing and takes time to master it and in canva it is very easy to learn and can be used by anyone for free
This is not working; I don't understand how the photo shows only the head in the letter and not the full photo, which it's supposed to do. I'm using a phone to do this, by the way
Tomas un elemento y buscas la opción en la tres rayas que dice seleccionar varios y procedes a elegir todos los elementos que quieras juntar luego con esos elementos seleccionados le das en una opción nueva que dice agrupar y ya todos quedan juntos
Canva is not great - it limits so much. But great clipping mask, could have done that in three steps on Adobe - plus then you have the rights to your product - unlike Canva
Yes I agree, It is much faster on Photoshop too but I wanted to show how to create this effect using Canva for most non-designers wanting to get a similar look 🙂
@inuriofficial thank you for this, I am learning some awesome Canva skills by watching videos like this! I would love to graduate to illustrator or photoshop but I have so much here to learn in canva and I need this "pedestrian" version lol. Gotta crawl before I walk!

I watched this short because of my mentor JOBS❤. Keep up the good work. But it's a shame that I don't have the opportunity to buy him a bottle of coke.
Bad tedious technique - what if your name is: "Mark Zuckerberg"??? You do this 15 times, and then you miss place it, and you need to move all by 10 pixel you do it again... Canva should support such feature in better way - hopefully soon and free, as for it is quite basic!
Firstly, those letters weren't aligned properly. Secondly, why not just make this effect properly in something like Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator? 😂 You just convert the text to path, and subtract the text from the box. You then just import the photo and crop it out. This is a poor use of graphic design tools. You did too much work for a worse result. Let's see you do a few revisions of this graphic. This is not efficient at all. If you want to make "graphic design" videos, make sure you know what you're doing first.
That’s really cool! Will be trying!
Thank you ☺️
You’re welcome 😊

I'll make a tutorial on this soon! 🙂
With an Android phone, how should we put those words together so that we can take a picture and enter it?

Ha ha. Jinx! Amazing how much harder this is in Canva. Why would any designer do it in Canva?? 🤷🏼♀️
How much is adobe?
Adobe took your rights away for training their AI, now may be switch to affinity to protect your rights LOL!
thx it really helped to impress my strict teacher

Can you give me photo size?
The Canvas size I used is 1080 x 1080 pixels on Canva.
This can be done in illustrator in 3 clicks with any typeface. Too hard in Canva
