    una direzione a dir poco favolosa, sinfonica, analitica, precisa, con profondità di campo negli innesti sonori. Nessuna sbavatura. Elegante, meravigliosa

    I daresay Verdi buffs know this stuff backwards and might, possibly, find such orchestral extracts trivial, undermining the totality of the opera from which they are drawn. Whether or not that is the case, I must confess, as a non-expert, to enjoying this music thoroughly, performed beautifully in this upload. Who knows, maybe somewhere down the line I'll start to check out whole Verdi operas!

      If you like ballet music in Verdi operas, here are some operas in which it appears: Macbeth, Il Trovatore!! (never performed), I Vespri (nearly 30 mins of great music), Don carlos, Aida and Otello. Enjoy!

      Thanks for that info. I think several, if not all, you mention are on this Rodders playlist. Most I've listened to but I still have a few to get around to.
