Great video. Thank you for the information. I have replaced both struts and have followed your video to add more fluid to the hydraulic reservoir (mine was low, no signs anywhere of leaks or damage to the ram lift, cables or pump). When opening the trunk with either the cabin button or the trunk button, the trunk opens every time. But when closing from the trunk button, it still takes a few button pushes, which it will go down then up, nothing, or finally will close. Any thoughts? I have an ‘07 750i e65.
Thanks for the video, mine opens good, but fails to keep it open, it start closing slowly. I'm wondering if is low on fluid, I'm going to add some, but how do you bleed the system?
Great video, replacing my leaking ram right now. You just pulled off the rear side of the ram, but mine is bolted on with a low profile bolt head that I can't get to. And I can't see or have any idea how to release it from the spring side. Any tips? Thanks again, really helped me out a lot!

Danny Monge , add fluid and chck for leaks, self bleed open and close will do it unless you replace the lines
EuropeanCarParts thank you so much for the rapid response, I'll get to it and share the results... thanks again
