Well if you don't have dolby atmos decoding then you hear nothing but a stereo voice. You need to enable Dolby Atmos on your device so you can experience object based audio.

I am totally aware that UA-cam only outputs in stereo. I didn't upload this for you to experience Dolby Atmos on here, but to give you a hint on what Atmos may sound like if you are considering to upgrade to an Atmos capable receiver or managed to get hold of the demo disk to experience it's full potential. Now when I watch this on UA-cam I have my receiver set to 5.1.2 Ch including 2 Height speakers and to 'Dolby Surround' sound field and what I get is a satisfying clean output of virtual surround through all the speakers. Funny how hardly anyone asked how to get hold of the demo disk and even funnier how instead many asked questions like 'what's the name of the movie?' when it is clearly written in the description and displayed at the end of the clip and comments like 'this is not Atmos' or 'UA-cam only outputs in stereo'. Try to look on the positive side of things, like how clean the picture and sound are and having the privilege to watch it for free. I guarantee you'll appreciate the moment even more.
UA-cam does support Dolby sound, if your video is uploaded as 4K HDR

With apple tv and a dolby capable sound bar all youtube videos play in dolby digital plus 2.0- compressed but it still sounds amazing and thats not even the full atmos experience.
I installed Dolby Atmos on my rooted Android phone it sounds truly amazing on my Bose quiet comfort earbuds.

I don't understand. I have a headset with a virtual 7.1 surround made by a proprietary software. I also have Dolby Atmos for headset. And this video does not require any of these software to feel the senstion of sound moving in the place. Do I really need them for Dolby Atmos aplications like games or just my stereo headphone? Does Dolby Atmos software add this effect in games or movies which were not made with it into? I mean, using both these software with this video the only change is the sensation of loudness. All the space effects of the sound seem to be built in the audio of this sample. Then, if dolby atmos for headphones does not create the effect and I get the effect of the movies that has it despite of using or not any software, what is the point of the softwares?
To experience the full potential of a Dolby Atmos experience you really need to listen through an appropriate speaker system setup rather than through headphones. Headphones are confined to 2 speakers, left and right. So what we're hearing is some sort of virtual surround and how good this virtual surround is depends on how well the receiver decoding capabilities are. To experience Dolby Atmos from your PC you only need to download 'Dolby Access' from the Windows store and use the 'Movies&TV' app that is part of Windows applications. With Dolby Access you can set up Dolby Atmos for both headphones and speaker system. I use my XBOX 1S to play my 4k Blu Ray Dolby Atmos movies. In order to experience what really Dolby Atmos can offer you will need to setup at least one pair of 'Height' speakers. These speakers will have to be either on the ceiling or positioned facing upwards. This way the sound can bounce back to the floor once it hits the ceiling and it doesn't really matter where you position the speakers. You can download this clip to your hard drive or even listen to it from here. It will always be 2 channel audio file. However, when I compared the listening experience between the one played on UA-cam vs the original one, I have to say I may have lost about 30% of sound quality, but I still felt I was well engulfed with quality sound output. How well your receiver is able to decode I think plays a crucial part.

Any Home theatre experts out there please help me where would the sound of that Lizard moving would be coming out from? Would that be from the sub woofer? The reason i am asking this question, in my set up its kind of coming as very feeble from my center channel , so wanted to confirm if that should be ideally coming from a sub woofer or not? I had seen many other home theatre demos where the same sound reproduced with much higher volume than what i am hearing from mine. I dont have a sub yet in my system. So any input would be appreciated?
Whatever you see in the center of the screen should come out from the center speaker, like this lizard and so is the speech of Tom Hardy while he's standing there stationary. If the lizard slightly shifts to the left or right of the screen then the sound should be heard on the front or left or right speakers accordingly. The subwoofer's main purpose is only to reproduce low-pitched audio frequencies known as bass and sub-bass. Your Atmos capable receiver should allow you to increase the volume of each speaker individually, so adjust the sound emanating from the center speaker accordingly
The sub is only going to play the lower sounds from the entire soundtrack of the movie. Typically everything playing at 80hz and lower. Most sounds come from the sender and front left and right channels
Your home theatre room fully acoustic or not. Because demo rooms are proper acoustics so we can hear sound better than normal room with same equipment... 😊

what i dont get is why does it sound better and more sound isolated on regular mode on my headset vs turning on 7.1 mode on them. Like the sound is far more accurate in where its coming from when its off than on. when its on its more all around me when its off i can hear the car on the right strongly rev when its on i hear it rev all over instead of on the right where it is.
Here you are talking about sound emitted from a headset. You have to remember that a headset comes with 2 speakers in general, one for each ear left and right. Now whatever surround mode you set your headset to output at what you'll hear is actually virtual surround which means it's giving the impresion you're listening to sound surrounding you. It is not same as 'true' surround because for that you will need a speaker for each of the channels. I have a pair of Razer Nari Ultimate headset and when I switch between stereo sound and surround sound I hardly notice any difference if any. It is a great pair of headset and not cheap retailing at almost AUD400, but it is still has only 2 speakers. What makes it unique though is the Razer HyperSense feature which simply put makes you hear and feel every explosion vibrating in your ears. Hence, if you really want to experience surround sound do it through a surround sound system with a minimum configuration of a 5.1 setup and that means 6 speakers including the sub. Have an Atmos capable receiver then that'll put the icing on the cake.
@@lekWehb I have a home theater system 5.1 Dolby atmos in the basement man cave/ game room. It’s ruined audio for me to be honest my car has a optional Bose 11 speaker system which is highly rated for vehicles yet it doesn’t come close to the Dolby clarity between lows highs and mids and it’s not a bad system by any means. The headphones I’m using are beyer dynamics new gaming headset and while the audio clarity is fantastic you don’t get that true surround feel turning on 7.1 seems to just make everything louder. Maybe one day someone will make headphones that have individual speakers in the ear up for directional sound.

@@tonymante8759 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what you are saying is that you are not getting the true surround you should be getting while listening to this video clip? If so then you won't get it listening to it on UA-cam as it only outputs 2 channels. You'll need the original demo clip to experience it fully. I hope that's what you meant.
You can’t get Dolby Atmos on UA-cam videos. Every UA-cam video that is uploaded is encoded to 2.0 stereo sound.

I doubt you can get a 7.1 or 5.1 output with any headphones. Whatever surround you get through headphones is ultimately virtual. My recommendation above was referring to playing it through a receiver set to 7.1ch.
