Z- Dawg Yes, it is a durag. Most of my friends who wear them actually call them wave caps, not durags, but both names are correct Apparently all of the young rappers are wearing durags now. I’m in my late 20’s so I remember back in the 90’s and early 2000’s when EVERYONE in hip hop wore them... but the main purpose of the durag (wave cap) back then was to help them create/keep waves in their hair. Now these young rappers are wearing them with dreads underneath, so they are wearing them solely for fashion and not using them for what they were intended for. Back in the 90’s and 2000’s, people did wear them for fashion purposes don’t get me wrong - but most rappers had short hair with waves back then so the durags also served a purpose for them to help them keep the waves in their hair. No one had colorful dreads back then lol. Lil Wayne was one of the few rappers with dreads back then lol.

He's so inspirational...when he was talking about everyone having a purpose in life I can relate to that cuz sometimes I just don't wanna be here, and I don't be happy and sometimes I be like "why am I here" or "I wish I was never born" and all that stuff, cuz of family situations. Sometimes I feel like people don't understand me. But idc what nobody say, I love Skies so much, he'll always be one of my favorite rappers. And his message to the youth is very helpful and inspiring..I look up to him a lot 💕
