Navaratri is the festival of worship of Bhagavati and celebration of the victory of good over evil. On the seventh day, we seek the blessings of Devi Kalaratri, the fiercest and the most ferocious form of Goddess Parvati.. When the Goddess Parvati removed outer golden skin to kill demons named Shumbha and Nishumbha, she was known as Goddess Kalaratri.
