- Cast of Supergirl came out to San Diego comic con to debut the new teaser trailer for Supergirl season 5, as well as the debut for the new suit.
Season 4 showed that truth, justice, and the American way are stronger than fear and hate, as Supergirl stopped Lex Luthor's anti-alien campaign with the power of the press, no cape required. As the world returns to normal, some things will never be the same now that Lena knows Kara's secret and the Monitor has arrived on Earth 38. Watch, like Leviathan, as new dynamics and relationships unfold for Supergirl and her friends and colleagues as their adventures continue in season 5. Hear from the members of the cast and creative team for a special video presentation, followed by a Q&A where they'll discuss what's to come. From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Supergirl 's fifth season will premiere this fall on Sundays in its new 9/8c time slot on The CW. Supergirl: The Complete Fourth Season is available now on Digital, and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 17.

This cast is enormous. Only 10 actors on stage as part of the show. Bringing Jon Cryer back is a good thing as he did add a lot to the show. The character he plays is so different from Two and a Half Men, it just demonstrates his dynamic range as an actor.
Everyone hated James in season 4 but honestly Mehcad is such a softie jesus.

The fandom has a bad habit of not behaving themselves, so they might have been concerned about what would happen if they allowed them.
Or there are probably a lot of spoilers, some people might not like as much as the ones they'd like.
The "fan" questions they probably wanted to avoid: "Why's it taken James so long to leave?" "When are Lena and Kara gonna bang?" "How dare you complicate Lena and Kara's relationship?" "This isn't a question but if you don't bring back Maggie I'm gonna hurt you." "What's with all the SJW bullshit?"

@@CrislanePassosDesenhos That's a thing? I knew about the passionate anti-Mon-El crowd, but this would be more shippers, I'm guessing? Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Mon-El back if the new showrunners (whom I trust after what they pulled off with season 4...seriously, I used to roll my eyes at this show so often, but this season I was completely invested and consistently impressed with the quality of storytelling) happen to have a specific story idea that requires him to return, but I don't see the point of demanding that he be shoehorned into a story that's more focused without him.
I don't really understand shipping, beyond just recognizing a goldmine of story potential, such as the Nia/Brainy thing. A lot of shippers seem to just want to watch people mush their faces together a lot.

In 1987, Jon Cryer was in a bad movie called Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, playing Lenny Luthor.
For his flying scene, he had to wear an uncomfortable harness, so he could be lifted off the ground.
He was given the advice to shave his butt, so the harness wouldn't pull on his butt hairs.
While working on Supergirl, he asked Melissa Benoist if they gave her the same advice. It was awkward.
