Good morning, referring to verse 6 I thought about President Nelson’s talk “peacemakers needed” and how he described his two counselors….
“My two noble counselors, President Dallin H. Oaks and President Henry B. Eyring, are exemplary in the way they express their feelings-especially when they may differ. They do so with pure love for each other. Neither suggests that he knows best and therefore must rigorously defend his position. Neither evidences the need to compete with the other. Because each is filled with charity, “the pure love of Christ,” our deliberations can be guided by the Spirit of the Lord.” With as fallible as I am in this respect, I’m thankful that we have church leaders who set a positive example of how I would like to be.

Contention and division is nothing new, it is the natural man. You can read speeches from the Greek assemblies back in 500 or 400 BC and see the same thing. The one thing I have learned from studying history is that people have not changed.
