The 80's had THE ABSOLUTE best music in Metal, and then Metallica came along and went Pop, so extreme genres of Metal had to be formed and Metal went to shit after that. Just my opinion.
Love that Steel Panther has brought the Fun back into this type of Hard Rock again. And Cheap Trick still makes great music and puts on fantastic live shows!! One of the best Power Rock bands out there still.
Cheap Trick rocks harder than these posers ever did. Check out their 1st album as Exhibit A. They're lucky Robin did this for them. Ralph was way better with Atomic Punks.
Not only is this one of the best covers ever, did anyone notice the cherry Pie chick as the police officer, the second set of “Oh, I’m alone” was the singer of Cheap Trick and the Drummer Sticks just gets drum sticks pelted at him, all funny and great additions
Never really cared too much for Cheap Trick back in the 80's, they were okay, but I never bought any of their music. Then I saw a PBS concert with them within the last 10 years, and they blew me away. I never really paid too much attention to Rick Nielsen's playing, but he's REALLY very good. I love the fills he throws in while Robin is singing, spot on phrasing.
back in the 80's I bought Cheap Tricks One on One album on Cassette out of a record store bargain bin and the whole album blew me away. I only knew a few of their songs before that. been a fan ever since. This song was on that album.
I disagree on two points. I had to stop watching it. Don't know who this band is but they don't even come close to Cheap Trick. She's tight is a good song but Cheap Trick has so many that are just as good or better.

I just discovered that this cover existed while going down memory lane, revisting my old Cheap Trick obsession. I'm only somewhat familiar with Steel Panther, but this song was seemingly made for them, it's perfect... and this was just the laugh I needed today! I used to have a VHS with all of CT's videos, I remember jamming this song and having no idea what She's Tight meant. Man, those were the good old days 💜
I saw them open for Kiss in 77 when they were recording “Alive II” at the Los Angeles Forum. I was 12 years old and had no idea who they were. From my seats I couldn’t really make out the logo on the drum kit (no giant screens back then), so for months after I thought I had seen “Cheap Truck”
@@demonhoopa I had Cheap Trick's first album at this point, and couldn't turn away from "She had a face that could stop a clock". I was there at the Fabulous Forum, and it was was a very funny scene. We parked, and we were parked next to a pickup with two guys laying on the hood. They were smoking weed and just waiting for the show to start. The nearest guy talked to us: "Yeah, my mom is a ticket seller and so I get tickets to all of this. We were at last nights show and it was hot." "Hot?" "Kiss was hot but Cheap Trick was HOT. "So...hot?" "Kiss was hot, but Cheap Trick was HOT." "So...hot?" "Kiss was hot, but Cheap Trick was HOT." It was a good show, Tom Peterson's bass was so loud that you could feel impact on your face. They fixed that, and it was a great show. And, yes, Cheap Trick was HOT!
Huge Cheap Trick fan here and I mean HUGE!! Also a HUGE Steel Panther fan. She’s tight is my favorite C.T. song, so was a good day when I found this video. Can’t wait to see Steel Panther live. ❤
This song kicks ass royally so!!! I saw these guys at the Cotillion in Wichita back in June last year it was a great show they did a really rocking show!
this is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steel Panther rockin' that Ramones sound. Edit: I realize now that this is a Cheap Trick cover. Was wondering why Rob Zander was included in this video.
In an era where the video is all but dead. Steel Panther nails the art of creati5 "can't stop watching" videos for their songs. Relying mainly on UA-cam where they got most their huge following it make me wonder how big they would be if we had the music video outlet of the 80's - early 2000's. 🤘💯 Keep rockin' Steal Panther you just might bing the power back.

I'm a big fan of how Sticks just keeps getting increasingly confused about his drumstick situation.
That's so funny! I love how they are making fun of themselves.
Yeah, that’s because they are also a parody band, making fun of heavy metal!
@@PNGPJSreally heavy metal but more 80s glam rock and hair metal. Not only are they funny but great to listen to
The girl with the Mohawk, was in the Documentary "Dark end of the street" she was heavily addicted to heroin. She's now sober, & with Steel Panther!

I know this is a cover BUT I will never stop introducing people to Steel Panther!!! The greatest band ever

Love when Panther do covers justice, and to have Zander in a cover of his own song, brilliant! Can't wait for the new album to drop!

Cheao tricks version is way better, but this arrangement is not even a creative spin off of Cheap Tricks version...at least put your own mark on it.
YEP!
That is Robin Zander's 💋 lips
This band is such a fun parody of 80s glam rock and hair metal that its easy to forget that they can really jam

That riff sounds almost exactly like the riff for Talk Dirty To Me.
You mean that generic rockabilly/bluesy riff which has been used as long as rock has?
Poison isn't the biggest poser band for nothing.
this came out a couple years at least before talk Dirty to Me.
Cheap Trick recorded 'She's Tight' in 1982. Poison recorded 'Talk Dirty To Me' in 1986.
Yeah its a generic sort of riff. Probably most famously used by Eddie Cochran in "Something Else", which is probably where Cheap Trick ripped it from.
