Awesome. Totally makes sense now as to what issues I have and what probably causes them. Thanks!

The bottom lip is your anchor and when it dosent anchor correctly it lifts up. Compession excercises usually help when minor layoff times destabilize bottom lip.

Ok so compress the lips together for 20 second intervals, make sure corners ar firm, then release do this 3 or 4 times then relax this will strengthen the lips you can also use pull buzzing to help this issue as well. Feel free to reach out for more information been at this for 4o plus teaching so maybe some of this will help

@trumpetthoughts pull buzzing works in 4 stages phase 1 start with mouthpiece on lips begin buzz, then
After 3 beats or so remove mouthpiece and try to get the buzz to continue un interrupted. Works very well teaches the muscles to respond and strengthen so balanced pressure can be achieved.

Both upper and lower lips need to be over the teeth - you need just the right amount of upper to lower lip compression, just the right amount of teeth opening, have the right oral cavity.

You sure about the lower lip? It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as important...

@@trumpetthoughts Completely sure. Try playing any note and feel between your teeth with the tip of your tongue - betcha you can feel both of your lips in the space between the teeth - I know I do.
Neither lip is "more important" or "less important" - both lips play an important role in producing sound and it won't happen without both lips.
