When that diesel flew by 😂… I think that settles it for me. I’m going with a 3/4 ton to pull my toy hauler. Thanks for the vid, that is a Sexy truck. I currently have the same truck without max tow package and only 321 gears . I was considering doing a gear swap and adding airbags, but at the end of the day I don’t know if it will be worth it.
That was pretty funny… it was a small 18ft trailer. To be clear I am 100% a diesel guy when it come to towing of you look at my previous videos I have had all diesels for years…. If you tow often enough.. which I just do not anymore and I commute/drive a ton daily. I was just pretty impressed coming from diesels etc to a gas 1/2 ton that it was actually capable of towing that trailer.. I don’t plan too often at all. But it was a fun little experiment. Of you tow often enough. Diesel is way to go 👍
Comparing different trucks, what's your RAM's payload sticker, then minus any upgrades and their associated weights? What's the tongue weight of the travel trailer? Thanks!
Pretty impressive what these trucks will do. Sucks the fuel while doing it. But that’s about how heavy my toy hauler is loaded down. I wouldn’t want to do it all the time. But yes it will do it 👍
@@avgdadgarage1982 Watching more videos since this one, i guess i see f250's and other heavy duties, go into the 230's. I guess that is normal for those vehicles. I was just comparing to my titan XD pro4x. i tow a 10,500lb fifth wheel and i have not see that go much over 200 when towing through the black hills of South Dakota. Normal day to day driving or towing flat to moderat hills, between 174 and 190 is the the range it is usually in. It is interesting how different trucks, have different "norms".

What MPG are yall getting at those weights ?
226 for coolant temp seems crazy high to me.
Not sure but I regularly see this truck above 200 during normal day to day…
