yes it does!! i recently just bought a cover case and a carrying case for it since i've started taking it around with me more often! and extra controllers are always nice to have if you want to play with more people! but it's not a necessity otherwise! hope that helps! :)

Last year my local game shop had like two units of the ACNH Switch on sale, but the thing is I already bought a neon Switch earlier like earlier that year (yes, before the pandemic) At least I have Animal Crossing itself :)
I already got mine 2 weeks ago but now I’m afraid that it will get into trouble when I play RPG one. I mean you mentioned that your first switch has a lot of trouble. I read a lot about the controller issued make me afraid to play action game. But beside that, switch is really amazing at all !!
If you love pastel colors and animal crossing characters go for the Animal Crossing One. But If you love neons and red and blue Do the regular! I got the regular one 2 weeks ago and I love it!
Depending on the region you got it from it may or may not come with it. In the U.S. it doesn’t come with the game I don’t think Canada/UK does either. I believe the German version does though but costs extra since the games included

You can buy a controller, as of now I seen a controller at Walmart for 5 dollars
