I have the perfect view from my balcony! I can’t believe how sudden it was. They were only talking about potentially letting people go home for Christmas this afternoon. At least it’s happened now I suppose.
Yes it's about as far away from blue lagoon as it is Grindavík. Lava flow is north. So that's something. But it's much bigger than the other eruptions.
Keep your distance and stay safe. Sorry for the Icelanders in Grindavík area that are displaced from their homes.
Hope the air quality stays safe for you all 🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing your perspective

I'm thinking, was it sudden? Or did we just ignore the very long period of warnings we had? But definitely a shock. Where is your balcony?
Know it’s a distance away. Stay safe.
That looks wild!
Time for a hike!
But in all seriousness, hope everyone is okay and safe.
Well there is a road up to this one. Not sure that's a good thing 😬
Any news on where it is exactly? I heard north of Grindavik. So Blue Lagoon? Inbetween?

@@TimeWarpIceland So it's following the highway? Hopefully it stays away from any populated areas. I bet people in Njardvik aren't too happy :(
Stay safe!!
I'm in Reykjavik now. Where are you watching from?
Seltjarnarnes. You can go to Ægissíða for example for a decent view from Reykjavik.
@@TimeWarpIceland thank you. I’m at seltjarnes now. Any word on the town of Grindavik?
@@Alex-03 so far it's OK but it's not looking good. If that lava field grows as much as the last then the town is in trouble.
Wow!
