Hi, I'm getting one soon I was just wondering is it good for like photography so Not filming But pictures because right now I'm just using my phone (my Instagram is Landscapes.traipes_ wich has Just A Few of My pics on there)
@@josieevans7693 I've been impressed with mine. Easy to use for a beginner and takes great photos. Most of it is just turning a dial to put it in the mode you want or adjusting the lens. Simple! :)
Thanks very much for these tutorials. Even though I've been taking photos for years and know a bit about cameras I've learnt a lot about the FZ82 from you that has saved me a lot of time. I picked one up second hand for only £160 with a two year warranty and it even came boxed with a U1 memory card in so I'm looking forward to using it!
I had the FZ80 for a while now, and I love it. But have been applying the lessons for the FZ200 to get the most out of the camera. I am so glad that you are finally doing the FZ80 series!! Looking forward to the rest of the series! Thank you Graham
Thanks so much Graham. We bought this camera for our car mad 13 year old son. We attend local car shows and we thought it was time for him to get a bit more serious instead of using his phone to get his shots/video of the cars. Dad (me) thought he knew enough to get this camera setup in auto mode for him. Yeah right. You have got us there though with this great video. Many thanks again. Cheers.
WOW! What a blessing to find you today! I just received my FZ80 this afternoon and your tutorial is FABULOUS! I have never delved so far into camera settings before but I'm excited to REALLY use this camera properly. Thank you for doing this series!
Thank you I do hope that you will get complete enjoyment for the camera and if you need extra support material I do have a User's guide available on Amazon for this camera or as a PDF from my store page. www.grahamhoughton.com/my-store/
Hi, I am a neonate at digital photography and I have just purchased a FZ80. Your videos are very helpful to me and I wish to thank you. Clearly I have an enormous amount to learn but I'm sure it will be a lot of fun.
Hello Graham, yesterday I bought the FZ82. I'm realy happy about your videos and I will follow it. With the beginning of summer I would like to start photographing my sourroundings in the landscape of Gemanys Spessart woods and my little village Blankenbach. I wish you a nice summer and greet you warmly!
Thank you for this very detailed and informative video. I just purchased an fz80 and am new at photography. This tutorial helps. Although it's too much to take in all at once, a little at a time, with my camera next to me, is the best way to learn.
Graham, you have done it again. last summer my old panasonic fz200 broke while I was in Italy. I needed a new camera quick and purchased the FZ82. I am now getting around to learning how to use this camera better. Your videos are very easy to understand and extremely helpful!!!
I bought today this camera and this tutorial is amazing! I'm going to try all of these and follow all the other your tutorials to start to understand this camera but also to learn how to shoot in general! Thank you!
Fabulous tutorial Graham. I have only recently purchased this camera to take on an Alaskan Cruise. Your video helped me learn and make the best adjustments for hopefully some super photos.
Graham, thank you so much so this video. I just got my camera a week ago. I have used the manual to acquaint myself with this camera but found it extremely lacking in how to really use all the features. You have done a wonderful job of explaining how to start using the camera to its fullest and I am looking forward to watching the rest of the videos.
First of all: Sorry for my english. I'm a complete Newbie and never had a Bridgecamera (only the cute little ones for vacations) but love taking pictures, so I bought this camera two days ago. Thanks to you I can now learn how to take great pictures :D. This is a very good tutorial and this is just my first on! So excited for the next - Thank you!
I've just bought a FZ82 and just watched this video. My "other" camera is a Sony A75 ii DSLR. After watching this video I have a horrible feeling that the FZ82 is going to be used more than I bargained for - I'd only really bought it for its long zoom! I understand the FZ82 better after this video than I do the Sony I have had for a couple of years. Thank you so much for this, Graham. I don't think it could be bettered and I will be going onto the other videos. You are a star.
I am brand new to this camera and haven't taken a photography class in 20 years. This video has some fantastic information in it!! Thanks so much and keep this series going!

Something funny: I buy one fz82 just on the 1st day of the health security meters the Greek government announced thus even if I saw your videos when I was searching which one to purchase I haven't had the time to explore the menu enough times to remember all the settings. So yesterday I play a little and while with flash open was taking a single shot with flash closed was taken five and I couldn't figure it out why this was happening. LOL Then I said to myself go watch again Graham's first video to see if he mentions anything before you go crazy LOL and of course it was the bracketing option (which is making logical why can't work with flash on) :) P.S. Thank you so much for these series with fz80. I'm so fresh in photography. Tried to look on UA-cam about this particular model but couldn't find nothing decent. It makes things so much easier for amateurs like me to learn when you SEE things step by step not Hearing about it. Thanks again!
always had Canon DSLR before but I then got given a small pocket Lumix so I decided to get this camera and what a great camera it is and thank you for the introduction to this camera is was a great help, once again thank you.
Started off with a Berkley Keystone 110. Then Praktika 35mm. Then Minolta 5000 autofocus followed by the superb Nikon 801. Read a lot of camera mags and learned the basics and probably a bit more. So, digital appeared, couldn't believe what those little guys could do. Eventually ordered my first hybrid which is this Lumix, gets delivered tomorrow. Good tutorial but one small point I find useful to remember is that when using the LVF button to view through the finder and you have chosen and set a focus ‘zone’ the live screen remains ‘live’ and you can move the zone with you nose. I hope you get my drift?
i recognised that winter hill background straight away, located in Bolton my self..Thanks for the introduction to this camera, its high on my bucket list..

Tremendous tutorial, very clear and concise. Made even better as I sit here in Florida by the fact you have the pike in the background as I could pretty much see it from the house I grew up in :)
I have just purchased the Lumix DC-FZ82. I had an old Canon DSLR but with only 80mm lens. Great presentation Graham! as usual, thanks! I have the FZ200 which is a great one but still thinking about upgrading maybe to FZ80, there are pros and cons, using a lot the swivel LCD I have noticed the FZ80 LCD is a fixed one, which is pity. not sure how it will affect the way I'll take pictures. Will appreciate your advise. thanks.
At 17:14, you speak square with four white corners, direct focus area - when I press that button, my screen says locked and I do not get the cursors.. I have check all my setting, they match yours, I even reset all option to factory. I have read through the book as well. I do not know how to fix it. Suggestions, please.
Hi Graham, thank you very much for the excellent tutorial for the FZ80. We have not long brought this camera so are learning how to work it. Can you please let me know, where I ask you a question we have please. Many thanks Sue😊
Thank you very much for this series. I bought the FZ80 1 year ago and except for videos was about to give up on photos. This camera does take great videos but all my pictures just turn out bla. I refuse to spend more money on a camera if I cant even get this one satisfactory. I know its me and not the camera. Im going to try it again going step by step with you and my camera. I know a good tripod, sun shield, and flash would probally help so looking forward to your accessory video for this camera. Thanks again.
Yes I agree the 4K video implementation is superb but understanding just what the problems are in shooting stills is going to be key to getting better shots. When I get my voice back I want to do a photoshoot with the camera to show some of the areas to watch out for.
Hi Graham and Thank you for this video, i could follow for the most part but wish the subtitles were at the top as they hide the view of what you are doing. Thanks again for helping get to know my camera, much appreciated :)
I have a Panasonic Tz80 although not the same camera i did find this very useful taking me through the menu and is beginning to make sense as i currently only shooting auto . I want to progress to a bridge camera but fell i need to understand my current camera first, which is taking time. Thank you
I like the 4K video on my 4K TV. At 3100 zoom it was still clear. The photos were another story. I could not get the camera to take a single decent photo. There is so much distortion in the image that it's unusable. If you doubt me expand the photo to 100%--the photo should have a slightly blurry resolution but NO grain. That is always the test to determine if a digital camera will take good or bad photos. And don't think you won't see the distortion/grain in the photo at a smaller size cause it's there and I can see it! But 4K and the zoom! WOW!
Thank you for your very helpful and informative tutorial. How do I get the “4 corners” to come up consistently? When I depress the left nav button the word lock appears mostly. Thank you . I end up playing with the osd menu and sometimes I can get it
@@GrahamHoughton12 I viewed your video as I considered purchasing the FZ80 . I placed my order at B&H Photo in New York. They are currently sold out and awaiting a shipment next week. FZ80 tops their "best sellers" ranks in the zoom bridge class. Another UA-cam reviewer recommended the FZ80 over the FZ300 on terms of cost/benefit. Articulating display is unimportant with EVF present.
@@johnleclerc8806 The FZ80 has become popular I guess because of its zoom lens reaching out at 1200mm. For some, this is more important than other features like audio input for video recording and low light image performance that the FZ300 can offer
Excellent video. Subscribed. Just ordered the camera and this video provided a huge head start and likely saved lots of time pawing through the manual.
Hig Graham, loving the videos! Could I have missed something during set up as my camera seems to behave slightly different. When I zoom in I always get the ability to go past the optical limit and when pressing the left hand side of the circle pad I get a different focus box and I'm unable to useit the same as the video. Just wondered if you could help. Many thanks. Steve.

Thank you
Thank you again for your interesting tutorial, I am learning slowly with your help. Thanks again.
I like the 4K video on my 4K TV. At 3100 zoom it was still clear. The photos were another story. I could not get the camera to take a single decent photo. There is so much distortion in the image that it's unusable. If you doubt me
expand the photo to 100%--the photo should have a slightly blurry resolution but NO grain.
Thank you . I end up playing with the osd menu and sometimes I can get it
Well conceived, organized, and presented. As much photography lesson as a camera specific tutorial.
thank you for the great comment!
@@GrahamHoughton12 Indeed. My requirements were zoom capability then price and a well known and established model.
Excellent video. Subscribed. Just ordered the camera and this video provided a huge head start and likely saved lots of time pawing through the manual.
Great tutorial, I'm looking to change my camera and this looks like it will do what I need as I'm not very experienced but willing to learn.
HUGE thanks for this series. I'm a complete noob and this videos are really useful. :)
Good video. Will try these new modes over Christmas
can you use any lenses to get better quality, I'm kinda new to cameras, always used camcorders
Steve.
I don't know why I couldn't change few parameters. Not everything worked as on your movie. I had to work in C settings to change most of. (FZ-82)
Very helpful! Thank you for your excellent presentation.
