@@karmababy5077 Have they only financially support from Turkey? Hahaha very nice joke! Educationally? Medical? In October 2013, CIA published "The CIA World Factbook 2014" and said "The Turkish Cypriots are heavily dependent on transfers from the Turkish Government. Ankara directly finances about one-third of the Turkish Cypriot "administration's" budget.". So how it's possible one state to be independent when another country directly finances the one-third of its administration budget? How it's possible one state to be independent when another country has 30-40k troops and state's officer's corps are drawn from this country? In The Netherlands we have Friesland (Frysia) in the north with their own recognized language and Limburg (where I am from) in the south which also has their own language but that was recognized as a regional minority language. Of Frysia I don't know a lot, only that there is a East-Frysia in Germany and that they were descendants of the Frisii. Of Limburg however I know a bit more. The Duchy of Limburg wasa state of the Holy Roman Empire and was located in nowadays Liege (Belgium). Later they became part of the Burgundian Netherlands (one of the seventeen provinces). In 1793 French revolutionary troops occupied the land and terminated the duchy. From 1815 till 1830 Limburg belonged to Great Britain, then with the independence of Belgium it became part of Belgium and with the treaty of London singed by Willem I, Limburg was split in two between Belgium and The Netherlands. Untill 1866 Duchy Limburg was part of the German Confederation. The Netherlands was in the possesion of the Duchy of Limburg and with the second treaty of London it became a province of The Netherlands. The Limburgish language is spoken by over more than 2 million people today. In a Dutch newspaper of march this year (when Frysian was recognised as an official language and Limburgish as an regional minority language) it says that from data from a research 30% of the native Frysian speakers still speak the language at home, where 45% of the Limburgish speakers speak the language at home. Sorry for the long comment, just want you to have some information about it

Great video, I like what you do, but you have missed an unrecognised country, and that's also in the Republic Of Moldova, it's called Transnistria. Greetings from Moldova!
DId not expected to see the "Monarquia do Norte"! After the Republican Revolution of 1910, that brought an almost 800 years Monarchy to its end in Portugal, Monarchist forces tried to bring down the Republic a couple of times. Exactly one year after the Revolution came to place the first attempt, then another one with some more intensity, all of them in the North. But the 1919 movement was the most significant one, and they didn't only took control of Porto, but almost the whole of the North (thus the Monarchy of the North, as it is commonly known). Remember that Portugal joined the Allied in World War One, then came the "Spanish Flu", our First Republic was a mess, so, fertile ground for revolts. Kingdom of "Traulitania" is a hilarious cool nickname. "Trauliteiros" and "traulitada" is a funny folksy way to refer to a hit, as in someone or something hitting another person or another thing. It seems that those who supported the coup liked to persuade others to join in or to not oppose, with a good pair of... "traulitadas". 😆
Don't feel bad. I am Greek and reassure you that Thrace never wanted autonomy. And the flag in the video is created by Turkish islamist that want to create problems. It's obvious that this video was not created after a serious research!
for your information: between the month of March and August of 1796, (after the fall of the Most Serene Republic of Venice and before the foundation of the Cisalpine republic, very faithful to Napoleon Bonaparte, the REPUBLIC OF MARTINENGO (Lombardy, province of Bergamo) was proclaimed the goal was the independence of the sovereign people from the dominant city of Bergamo, the colors of the flag were golden yellow and blood red, with a red eagle on a gold field, Napoleon deemed it sufficient to allocate Martinengo as district chief of the Lower Plain which is part of the newly established Cisalpine Republic, comprising a large part of the Po Valley.
That thing the bear holds on the coat of arms of Uhtua is not a sword - it's a billhook which (although can be used as such) is not a weapon but an agricultural/forestry tool.
5:45 I would appreciate if you would use the appropriate name and flag depending on the period you refer to . It was not Germany as it is today. It was the Weimar Republic. It might not be important to you, but for todays Germans it is Because were different political times and thoughts that led to WW1 and espacially WW2. It was not the Federal Republic of Germany and not this Flag that are started those wars! And I think it is not fair to use the terms. I hope you can understand that this is a bit upsetting. But besides that. Great Vid!
Dirk Eickholt Germany from 1919-1933 was not actually the Weimar Republic. What I mean by this is that, “Weimar Republic” was the common unofficial name for Germany at that time. The official name of Germany at that time was the German Reich. Plus there wasn’t a different flag. Do you mean the C-Pennant? Germany was still united at that time, and it was a different regime from the nationalsozialist and imperial ones, so wouldn’t it still have the same German flag?
Uups . Mixed it up with the flag of the Deutsches Kaiserreich (till 1918 and the first part of the German Reich). Then the Flag ( of the Weimarer Republik ( 2nd part of the German Reich)) is correct. So it is not Germany.

@@AlaniariSs7Althoigh it is supported by it financially, TRNC is not part of the Turkish Republic. It is a seperate state. I would know. I live there. It has its own government and an entirely separate lwgal system and constitution.
@@karmababy5077 Have they only financially support from Turkey? Hahaha very nice joke!
Educationally? Medical?
The pseudo-state of Northern Cyprus is heavily (almost completely) dependent on Turkey for economic, political and military support.
Due to Northern Cyprus's isolation and heavy reliance on Turkish support, Turkey has a high level of influence over the country's politics. That's why Northern Cyprus is an effective puppet state of Turkey!
@@AlaniariSs7It is financially dependent on Turkey because on an international embargo. The majority of Turkish Cypriots don't want any dependence on Turkey. Nothing I have stated is factually incorrect, no matter what you or any other Greek Nationalist who has never actually been in TRNC has to say about the issue.

Hi from Karelia, really good video!
Do you speak Karelian?
You should mention the Republic of Ossola in the next video. It lasted for 44 days but it's quite an interesting story. Was officially recognised by Switzerland.
All Italian partisan republics are interesting
Värmland Republic in Sweden. They have their own passport etc. Though the republic is not recognized by the Swedish government, f.ex. their passport is recognized by the local Norwegian border guards.
Cartagena? There's a city in Colombia also called Cartagena. A French Ireland, the French wants some potatoes to go with their baguettes
That one's actually officially called Cartagena de Indias. I have a friend from there

There are a lot of Cartagena's, Cordoba's etc in latin america because of colonialism.
Avery: why are you on every YT video? :0
Also Cartagena comes from Phoenician word meaning new city (i. e. Carthage)
Carthage or Carthago is only the romanization however, the punic writing is closer to Qart-Hadasht.
After the Greeks took west Thrace, they forcefully relocated the Bulgarians that lived in the region. My great grandmother took her son and 8 other orphans and crossed the border taking them 500km north. No one ever knew who of the 9 boys was her biological son she payed for their education and bought each one land. She has 9 grand daughters named after her and now my daughter carries her name too.
Sorry for the long comment, just want you to have some information about it
I live in Friesland and as far as I know Frys is a dialect, not a language.
Any long gone unrecognised countries in Ireland and I thought it would have been the Limerick Soviet. Sprouted around 1919 and even had their own currency, but only lasted a few weeks

After WWI there had been a „Freistaat Flaschenhals“ in the Middlerhine reginon of Germany. It was a unclaimed part of Germany that neither the US nor France occupied after the end of WWI. Freistaat Flaschenhals is translated in Republic Bottleneck which comes from the shape of the piece of land, but also remembers the a lot of wine is grown in the areas. @@General.Knowledge The spanish republic army was going to all the diferent cantones to repress the uprising, so a group of garrison volunteers were going to hoist the red flag, symbol of cantonal movement, but there was no red flag in the city so they took a similar thing.
The Otoman flag was there after war booty from the battle of Lepanto.
Even though there is a legend saying that this never happened argued with a letter from a soldier years later, but a telegram was indeed sent from a ship that same day with a clear reference to a Turkish flag (“El castillo de Galeras ha enarbolado la bandera turca”)("Galeras Castle has hoisted the Turkish flag")

between the month of March and August of 1796, (after the fall of the Most Serene Republic of Venice and before the foundation of the Cisalpine republic, very faithful to Napoleon Bonaparte, the REPUBLIC OF MARTINENGO (Lombardy, province of Bergamo) was proclaimed the goal was the independence of the sovereign people from the dominant city of Bergamo, the colors of the flag were golden yellow and blood red, with a red eagle on a gold field, Napoleon deemed it sufficient to allocate Martinengo as district chief of the Lower Plain which is part of the newly established Cisalpine Republic, comprising a large part of the Po Valley.

DontFeedMe Mentoes someone got their facts right
Uups . Mixed it up with the flag of the Deutsches Kaiserreich (till 1918 and the first part of the German Reich).
Then the Flag ( of the Weimarer Republik ( 2nd part of the German Reich)) is correct. So it is not Germany.
