Best tubas in the SWAc hands down. Su comes close but not quite. I'm so proud cause even though they changed the name they are still holding the traditional sound that we had when I was playing tuba . Txsu best tubas 😉
The Vally was playing other people fanfares that 1st one was probably a original......I can't say for sure......the guy that took that so low for the Vally tone was a little off and the best tuba section in the SWAC is hands down Dawg Team
Why do I have the feeling if SU's sousa section, Whitehorse, makes the jump to full brass Sousas, they're gonna stay with KING and get the same sousas that Valley have in those 2350s?
Umm Valleys tubas werent playing tsu stuff. im not trying to offend anyone just listening. style are similar to a certain extent but no. i know they were not playing stuff from tsu. Also maddjuice23 are you currently apart of a program and if you are which one? once again, i am not trying to start a debate or anything im just asking.
+paulrd95 Im actually not a tuba player but i am a trombone player and ive heard a couple of sections play those tunes not just Valley. Im not trying to be bias in any. Well ive heard nutcracker and deebo numerous amounts of times. I simply thought it was a tuba thing. was it tsu that began trending these tunes and if so could you provide a date or time frame in which it started?
+Cameron Hollingshead ask any tuba player. deebo started at whitehaven hs and was brought to tsu on 09. nutcracker was made up in 11 but wasn't played till 2012, and the remix was played my freshman year in 13.
+Cameron Hollingshead and really I didn't need to tell you that, it's a well known fact that those fanfares originated at tnsu, but clearly you didn't do your research prior to commenting.
+paulrd95 Well i didnt really think it was something worth researching since my first comment was based upon listening to other sections playing it. My other comment was not ment to offend you either i was just simply trying understand. Nowadays alot of bandheads down one anothers sections and programs without any applicable reason or rationality behind it but in the end you did provide a valid point.
Actually Bro while nigga on here talking I am Swachammer n yes we respect Silver Thunder just like dey respect us i kno a lot of playas out of dat section trust me n stop talking cuz lol yur not relevant
As a Sousaphone player myself, both sections have bad tone quality, phrasing and no control. Where I'd the technicality? Everyone was just blowing and left out the character.
valley won hands down. for txsu to be the "best in the SWAC" they sure represented horribly. great job Hammer! yall finna make hella folks mad next fall 2016
if TXSU is the best in the SWAC, based off this video the SWAC is horrible l, melody and counter melodies dont match, intonation is horrible, seems like each person is playing their own individual style. chords are not assigned correctly. both sections sounded like pure ......
this was absolutely horrible....since when does volume supersede tone intonation attacks and cutoffs......trash from both sides.....and the material was not collegiate level whatsoever
Shoutout to my Bros...SWACHAMMER
didn't know mvsu had a pretty good tuba section
Yea we always had a legacy in da swac!
Valley had a tuba section since the late 80's

Best tubas in the SWAc hands down. Su comes close but not quite. I'm so proud cause even though they changed the name they are still holding the traditional sound that we had when I was playing tuba . Txsu best tubas 😉
I know this is an old comment, but you're crazy if you think SU is anywhere near the best in the SWAC LOL
The Vally was playing other people fanfares that 1st one was probably a original......I can't say for sure......the guy that took that so low for the Vally tone was a little off and the best tuba section in the SWAC is hands down Dawg Team
Actually in da Sip we both are!
They need to work on their tone in the upper register if they gon play all the way up there, play within your limits people
Good job to both section!

MVSU!!!! SWACHAMMER with the W!
What brand of sousas MVSU playing on?
Jupiters or kings for sure
Most likely kings
Kings!
Why do I have the feeling if SU's sousa section, Whitehorse, makes the jump to full brass Sousas, they're gonna stay with KING and get the same sousas that Valley have in those 2350s?
+DeAndre Noel that's how I feel too lol

Okay
As a Sousaphone player myself, both sections have bad tone quality, phrasing and no control. Where I'd the technicality? Everyone was just blowing and left out the character.
yess
What kind of tubas are txsu playing on??!!
Conn 20k
yamahas

Paul knows good god damn well he coming from the land of God's. Calm down. 😂😂
TxSU!

damn how long dude with the dreads been at txsu he should have been gone.
I saw him since 2010 lol
Hopefully he's going for a doctorate
+CDdaBoss what about the light skin dude on mello
Txsu with the W
Y'all straight on the highs but A&M got the best tuba line in the SWAC
valley sounds like sound taking a dump and playing at the same time
sounds like high school sousaphones...both of the schools. smh
this was absolutely horrible....since when does volume supersede tone intonation attacks and cutoffs......trash from both sides.....and the material was not collegiate level whatsoever
TxSU took the W.. Valley was straight they were just too sloppy..
Only if Valley played like they used to do in the 90's 😱😱😱
they both sounded like poop though
Txsu better than any section u repin so hush (unless it's silver thunder of course)
+isaiah ???
+jmg24bad Txsu the best section in the SWAC
+isaiah oh. ok. they still sounded bad in this clip though.
+isaiah and who is silver thunder?
This was terrible. Bad tone bad attacks bad intonation over blowing weirdness.
Horrible
This was a waste of time and tape. All musicianship went out the door 🤦🏾♂️
+KMOJ1986 Waste? Nah the majority of people there were quite entertained.
TxSu 💯
