Why do I have the feeling if SU's sousa section, Whitehorse, makes the jump to full brass Sousas, they're gonna stay with KING and get the same sousas that Valley have in those 2350s?
Best tubas in the SWAc hands down. Su comes close but not quite. I'm so proud cause even though they changed the name they are still holding the traditional sound that we had when I was playing tuba . Txsu best tubas 😉
Umm Valleys tubas werent playing tsu stuff. im not trying to offend anyone just listening. style are similar to a certain extent but no. i know they were not playing stuff from tsu. I simply thought it was a tuba thing. was it tsu that began trending these tunes and if so could you provide a date or time frame in which it started?
+Cameron Hollingshead ask any tuba player. deebo started at whitehaven hs and was brought to tsu on 09. nutcracker was made up in 11 but wasn't played till 2012, and the remix was played my freshman year in 13.

Nowadays alot of bandheads down one anothers sections and programs without any applicable reason or rationality behind it but in the end you did provide a valid point.
The Vally was playing other people fanfares that 1st one was probably a original......I can't say for sure......the guy that took that so low for the Vally tone was a little off and the best tuba section in the SWAC is hands down Dawg Team

As a Sousaphone player myself, both sections have bad tone quality, phrasing and no control. Where I'd the technicality? Everyone was just blowing and left out the character.
this was absolutely horrible....since when does volume supersede tone intonation attacks and cutoffs......trash from both sides.....and the material was not collegiate level whatsoever
valley won hands down. for txsu to be the "best in the SWAC" they sure represented horribly. great job Hammer! yall finna make hella folks mad next fall 2016
