    This is the best how to vehicle video I have seen on UA-cam. Short and concise with what tools you need to do the job along with the torque value. Thank you so much for creating this video. Well done.

    When ordering parts for this job, is there a difference between having/not having the third row seat? My mechanic quoted me $2200 for front and rear struts and I'm thinking I'm going to DIY it instead but wanna make sure i order the right parts the first time.

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  22 дні тому

      @@ryanmordick9736 That's a good question. All the parts I find say "except third row" so it must matter but I can't find any listings specifically for third row 🤔

    • @ryanmordick9736
      @ryanmordick9736 20 днів тому

      @@ValleyMobileAutomotive After further research I've concluded that as long as you get AWD or FWD, whichever fits your application, there isn't much difference outside of that. I believe that the distinction concerns load rating. Your average bear isn't going to tell the difference. I will be ordering KYB assemblies from Rock Auto. The Rock Auto website makes certain distinctions for the KYB part numbers listed as in stock. However, the only distinction that the KYB online catalog makes is drive type and location.

      R---Auto has KYB (who makes Toyota struts) for about $350 the pair.

    You don't have to remove the axle nut?

    • @marlonrod1974
      @marlonrod1974 2 місяці тому

      No you don't, just use something to rest the axle on so is not hanging and put pressure on it.

    you dont have to worry about the knuckle falling to far down on the rear? is it because its a FWD and not a AWD?

      This was an AWD model

    What do you mean compress our suspension? Aren't the springs already pre compressed?

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  6 місяців тому +1

      That's true the spring is compressed a little inside the strut but when the weight of the vehicle is on it it will compress everything even more. It's called "loading" the suspension. I like doing that before double checking the upper strut nut torque.

    Do you experience vibration after struts replacement at 70mph and over?

    • @ValleyMobileAutomotive
      @ValleyMobileAutomotive  4 місяці тому +1

      You shouldn't. I would start by getting the tires balanced and see if that makes a difference.

      @@ValleyMobileAutomotiveand alignment too of course.

      Make sure you get an alignment too, that might help.
