Ingolstadt is located on the Danube in Upper Bavaria, is an independent city with a population of 139,553 as of June 30, 2022. It is the second-largest city in Upper Bavaria and the fifth-largest in Bavaria 🛗
With roots dating back to 806, Ingolstadt played a significant role in Bavarian history, serving as a capital in the late Middle Ages and becoming the seat of the first Bavarian university in 1472 🏫
Today, it is known for its manufacturing industry, particularly in automobile and mechanical engineering, and maintains a historic old town.
