I was so pleased that in interviews Archie always made the point about his connection with the club and how he wanted to achieve all of his goals at Leeds. If we are upset about this, how must Archie be feeling? Boyhood dreams taken away and turned into a sacrifical lamb. Seen this before, and its not unusual, but this is a hard one to take.
He was the one player I did not want to leave. I hope that the money we get for him goes into transfers. We need so many players, yes exploit the free transfer market on Monday but actually BUY players. He was our best player, he will take some replacing.

We all knew that not getting promoted was going to lead to having to sell key players. The PSR was also key. However, the bitter taste will be being the rats return.

35 for Gray is decent money, we also get to keep Gruev. Rasmus and Byram will compete for the RB slot so we're covered there, and we have Kamara, Gruev and Ampadu as CDM's, so Gray is absolutley not a loss. And 3 for Cresswell is free money as he never played anyway. If Wober stays we definetely need 2 no.5's, a 3 and a 9. I think Meslier will also go but Cree and Willy will stay. Coops and Bamford HAVE to go.
Funny how we couldn't sell Bamford, Cooper, Ayling etc because they were under contract and wouldn't move even though we needed funds. Lots of other sick notes too stole a living.

This is what happens unfortunately when we blow an opportunity to get promoted to the PL. If we would have got promoted, this wouldn't be happening! Farke and some of the squad have to take some of the blame for our failure last season.
The day that matters in all of this is the last day of the season - are w in the EPL and can keep players like this or not. Thats why its vital we go up or we will never keep players like this - since 2004 its been player after player all sold when they were young. And the main thing - we support the club - managers, players and owners come and go, the club doesn't.
I feel this transfer has left the door open for a return. 5 year contract he could run that down come back at 22 23 year old on a free. As long as our ambition matches his and we get back to the prem we could still see the Gray brothers in the same side for Leeds United

35 for Gray is decent money, we also get to keep Gruev. Rasmus and Byram will compete for the RB slot so we're covered there, and we have Kamara, Gruev and Ampadu as CDM's, so Gray is absolutley not a loss. And 3 for Cresswell is free money as he never played anyway.
If Wober stays we definetely need 2 no.5's, a 3 and a 9. I think Meslier will also go but Cree and Willy will stay. Coops and Bamford HAVE to go.
Funny how we couldn't sell Bamford, Cooper, Ayling etc because they were under contract and wouldn't move even though we needed funds. Lots of other sick notes too stole a living.

This is what happens unfortunately when we blow an opportunity to get promoted to the PL. If we would have got promoted, this wouldn't be happening! Farke and some of the squad have to take some of the blame for our failure last season.
The day that matters in all of this is the last day of the season - are w in the EPL and can keep players like this or not. Thats why its vital we go up or we will never keep players like this - since 2004 its been player after player all sold when they were young. And the main thing - we support the club - managers, players and owners come and go, the club doesn't.
I feel this transfer has left the door open for a return. 5 year contract he could run that down come back at 22 23 year old on a free. As long as our ambition matches his and we get back to the prem we could still see the Gray brothers in the same side for Leeds United
I'd rather we break the rules at this point, if you can't beat them, join them. We'd take a hit once in the prem, but it'd be profitable venture in a few years when archie gray can go for double or more than what we're selling him for

I think this is amazing deal, 35 mil for a RB. Sure is ceiling could be higher but we failed last season due to squad depth, I think cre will be sold too. We need players to get us out of the championship. Sale of Archie could mean Rodon, Skipp and money made
