I think that they should actually do the episode like you say, and then leave it like that, so she actually will be considered a family member by the Griffins and wont be treated so harshley anymore...
I like the first few seasons when Meg was treated like the rest. After the abuse became common place, I stopped watching it. At least Cleveland show, Cleveland treated all the kids the same and they treated him the same. This is also why I prefer the Simpsons over Family Guy.They said the Meg abuse started after Lacey quit..... I wonder if Seth had some issues where he had done to Meg what he wanted to do to Lacey.
This is EXACTLY what I thought. I love the Cleveland Show, cause their Cleveland did bad things but mostly began to feel bad, after realizing that this wasn't right. The Simpsons is already a whole other level. Homer does a lot of stupid things but always tries to make it up and that's what I love on him.
I swear if they keep this up with Meg people who like her WILL stop watching and ratings will go down as well and the show will get canceled! If Seth and those damn writers don't want that to happen then they better start coming up with stories of Meg getting some RESPECT & LOVE more often in the show!
Luna Vasquez wanna hear a dark joke? A 5 year old girl named Elle was kidnapped. Day after day she would she would be raped and beaten, she became extremely depressed and anxious. She had resorted to cutting, burning, and bruising herself in hopes that her abusers would see her injuries and ignore her. That was when she had just turned 7. She kept waiting everyday for someone to find her, she refused to eat and sleep, because she was so sure if she had distracted herself, she wouldn’t be able to hear any rescuers coming to save her. until one day she realized no one cared enough to find her, she found some rope and tied it into a noose. And was hanging for 3 days, and heres the funny part!
I would agree family guy isn't really funny like how it use to be I hate that storm episode and April in quohog be peter doing his dumb shenanigans and then I the last minute he say "I just hate being around the kids." It turned out to be some dumb joke. Then instead of really apologizing he bought them an x 📦 to try and win back their love. That at the end, he wouldn't let them play it. And I hate all the racism on here, they turn really offensive stuff about people into some sick joke like on the episode I was just talking about, Peter said he was gonna use the you know what word in a black neighborhood, the when peter comes back, he was crowned king of the blacks, I was not laughing at that 👎👎👎 They should really stop with these dumb jokes about people.
Worst part is that "Seahorse Seashell Party" was aired right before "Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q" which had the exact opposite message of abuse *not* being okay.
It's like the show is saying "being an abusive chode is wrong, but only if you're not the main character." Dear God, it's like an animated Saved By The Bell.
I'm sure that "Seahorse, Seashell Party" episode (at #1) pissed off a lot of people, especially abuse victims. No one should exist solely to be abused.
I have a feeling that Meg would be great friends with Spike from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Lincoln loud on the loud house, and Squidward Tentacles, since they all seem to be the punching bags of their respective shows.
I just watch Archer... everyone rapes and treats each other equally shitty. No one is singled out... it is a free for all in even distribution. I love it, plus funnier than Family Guy. Adventure Brothers is another that is hilarious! I love the Krampus episode.
Even when I was really into Family Guy YEARS ago, I never quite understood the humor behind bashing Meg, ALL the damn time. It was a little uncomfortable at times.
When Meg occasionally got a break in the show, it always made me kinda happy. Also when she stood up for herself occasionally. Her character always made me so sad.
Everything happened to Meg is the worst I can say that Lois and Peter are the worst parents ever okay the prison one Peter and Lois got what they deserve
@@ferdblu1946 no she doesn't she's just a normal girl trying to live her life you jerk I feel bad for Meg and Lois and Peter should die in hell for everything they have to done her
I never even thought Meg was ugly the first time saw her. Hell, I thought she looked BETTER than Lois. But of course, the writers changed THAT perspective.
Fun Fact: In an interview, Seth MacFarlane said that he and the writers may have done bad things to Meg, but Mila Kunis (Meg's Voice Actor) is Seth's most favorite person in the world. He said, "When the day comes that the producers say we have to cast a new voice actor for Meg, that's the time I wold retire. Family Guy is worthless without Mila.
I would honestly applaud Family Guy if the series finale was all about Meg seeking revenge on her family for all the abuse and torture she's had to endure over the course of the show - *and succeeding.*
And that's why Meg is totally supposed to not be treated like that. Man, I wish Seth confirmed that Family Guy's newest Episode would be Meg abusing Peter so much he apologizes to her and he promises he'll treat her like he treats the others. man, and I also wish chip was there
@@hangezoe7472 So he could pull it off the air. I should remind you all that he's the executive producer, so everything that happens on the show has to get his okay. But he doesn't care, because the show still makes money for him.
I think it has gotten worse over the seasons to the point where I stopped watching because of it. At first, it was still kind of funny in a way because she still occasionally received love and affection from her parents (or at least her mother) and did tend to be overly annoying with the drama. But now? It's just overdone... Not only because the abuse got /worse/, but also because often times, Meg is genuinely kind to others and stopped being this overly annoying drama queen.
Mainly for drama and schadenfreude, really. And sometimes because writers are jerks and/or don't know what a decent family is, or just don't know how to make interesting families that actually care about each other and aren't horrible subhuman creatures.

If I could rewrite and improve Seahorse Seashell Party, I would make it so after Meg chewed out Chris, Lois and Peter for being so awful to her, they see the error of their ways and decide to treat her better. It might not make the episode more than slightly better, but since such a turn-around saved The Simpsons's The Boys of Bummer from Animated Atrocities, it could also save Seahorse Seashell Party if it was willing to go that route. July 22, 2019, 7:27am
I'd rewrite Seahorse Seashell Party to where at the episode's end after chewing her family out she kills them and then goes to pretty much kill everyone and burn the whole town down since apparently the whole town of Quohog hates her. With her smiling as leaves the burning town.
At least Brian and Stewie care about her more to the point where they try to rescue her even if she was aken away from happiness, but at least they tried saving her
But Brian isn't nice to Meg, like he almost didn't helped her on suicide, stole her idea in a treasure hunt and faked being Christian so he could buy alchohol.
Brian is an established terrible person. The fact he bothers to help her at all when he's typically all talk does mean something. It's not enough but it is something.
Stewie and Brian didn’t know the guy was a prince, though. As far as they knew he was going to use her like any of the other people would’ve. It was human trafficking, after all.
Well considering how not only her family but a lot of the world treats her like trash I understand why maybe since a lot of the world hates her she may just end her misery If you guys disagree ok
Yahiya 1XD Honestly, Why did Seth even put her in the show? He admitted that he had no idea how to write her, so he made her the butt monkey of the show. Lesson 5 of writing: if the only reason that a character is there is to be abused by everyone and everything, don’t put said character in the show.
@@christopherwallace7903 Apparently, he uses the excuse that the mostly male writing team doesn't know how to write a teenage girl. I had no idea "I'm too fucking lazy" was actually considered a legitimate excuse (the more cynical interpretation could be that he and his writing team don't see teenage girls as people [since, you know, all you need to write a teenage girl is to know how to write a damn character], but I'm erring on the side of laziness).
Maybe what Seth MacFarlane could have done with Megs character was have her be dead the whole time, but all of the things she went through during the run of the show could have all just been in flashbacks or cutaways.
Seth: “Staying in an abusive relationship, especially a familiar one, for the abuser/s’ sake is a noble and heroic act” Me: “WORST! BULL💩! AESOP! EVER!”😡😡😡 Jerkasses: “IT’S JUST A 🤬 COMEDY CARTOON!”
@@sayamqazi No, not really. That was a line from GET OUT; I'm more referencing the fact that it seems like Seth Macfarlane gets an out for writing extremely sketchy humor just because he's a liberal (the baddies in GET OUT were a family of overcompensating rich white liberals, not unlike Macfarlane).
Meg is one of the more sympathetic characters. She has been shown to genuinely care for Chris and despite Stewie being evil she’s more of a mother to him than Lois ever was
What really puts me in Meg's corner is the kind of moral values and integrity she proved she had when she stood up for herself. Had I been in that room during that hurricane, I would've encouraged some family therapy to keep the Griffins together, and allow Meg to maintain her new-found confidence.
The one that grossed me out the most was when she had the boyfriend (perfectly normal boyfriend), and then Lois began to seduce him. How come almost nobody in the comments is mentioning that goddamn STATUTORY RAPE should even be acceptable?!

Alternate episode is that she steals one of stewiess guns and kills all her faamily except brewie
Yee man that’s true, that episode fucking sucked
Seth is like most men today... angry little boys because of entitlement issues.
I agree with all that, Meg used to be loved & respected by Lois during the first few seasons and that's how it STILL should be now!
I can't believe you idiots brought up the pAtRiArKy even here. Then people ask me why I hate feminists
the writers said that they didnt know how to write a teenage girl character, thats why everyone is making fun of her
This is why I stopped watching Family Guy. There’s nothing funny about making your own child a victim of circumstances
I know it’s just a cartoon, but still writers! Give her a brake!
I swear if they keep this up with Meg people who like her WILL stop watching and ratings will go down as well and the show will get canceled! If Seth and those damn writers don't want that to happen then they better start coming up with stories of Meg getting some RESPECT & LOVE more often in the show!
Have you not heard of dark humor?

Seth MacFarlane considers Mila Kunis like his daughter
I would honestly applaud Family Guy if the series finale was all about Meg seeking revenge on her family for all the abuse and torture she's had to endure over the course of the show - *and succeeding.*
And that's why Meg is totally supposed to not be treated like that. Man, I wish Seth confirmed that Family Guy's newest Episode would be Meg abusing Peter so much he apologizes to her and he promises he'll treat her like he treats the others. man, and I also wish chip was there

Why are all popular TV families dysfunctional? I loved the first four seasons of Family Guy but the way the family treats meg is unacceptable.
I agree, Meg was actually respected by Lois during those FIRST few seasons and that's how it still should be now!
There’s Bobs Burgers, I mean their dysfunctional, but they all care about each other
Mainly for drama and schadenfreude, really.

I SO agree with that alternate ending for that episode!
Also have her last out at Stewie and brian as well
I'd rewrite Seahorse Seashell Party to where at the episode's end after chewing her family out she kills them and then goes to pretty much kill everyone and burn the whole town down since apparently the whole town of Quohog hates her.
Well there was one point where the family considered Brian the new Meg yet they still hated on meg

#1 When Seth McFarlane Create Her Character
Yahiya 1XD Honestly, Why did Seth even put her in the show? He admitted that he had no idea how to write her, so he made her the butt monkey of the show.
