Joe didn't have to worry about getting eaten by the Termites because he ran into cannibal Rick.
That was one of the best damn scenes for me in the entire series.

The claimers didn’t really have a leader it was pretty much claim and keep with them
So with that in mind, they should’ve just made Joe turn on his own group, saving Rick and then being a part of their group making Joe a character

Joe was just a survivor in this apocalypse who learned how the world works now. Cause the world they live now is a dog eat dog kind of world. He saw that earlier. He was a smart guy. He was the perfect guy for Negan. Wouldve been a savage Savior.
You forget that joe is a rap ist so no he was a bad person and negan killed the last rap ist he came across. Oh yeah and joes a child rap ist making it even worse. Hes charasmatic but objectively a bad person.

True, if they didn’t catch Rick until the Terminus gates than it would’ve been so cool to see the Claimers work with Rick’s group to escape and then they’d have to change their ways to stay in the group and it would’ve been interesting to see them get a redemption arc and become full members of the group.
Wish we had more of these guys n daryl. One of my favorite parts of the series

The claimers story line was awesome. But there was a missed oppurtunity for them to be more complex anti-hero characters that I wish they had explored more.

I doubt Daryl would ever "have the girl, then the boy". Joe was super messed up. Even if Daryl was stuck with bad people he would never change into that.

He became that way by losing everyone that was close to him (aka, his wife and daughter)
But they never really gave us a back story on Joe, so I guess we’ll never know
Unless he was in the comics, then a comic fan might be able to fill me in
Just makes me wonder what Joe had to lose in order to be that mentally fucked up
Because there’s definitely part of his story that they just don’t have him explain or didn’t make its way into the show

Out of pure luck, I got to watch this episode recently on love TV. Small scenes like this finally hit different. Joe really could tell a lying sign.
