Oh my goodness, you can see an immediate quality difference when you started showing the items you knitted with natural fibres and investing in better quality yarn. It just elevated the pieces so much! I think acrylic definitely has its place, especially in terms of accessibility into the craft, but putting that time and investment into good quality materials pays off so much in the long run. All your knits are gorgeous, can’t wait to see some more in the new year!
That’s so thoughtful of you, Hope my comment isn’t seen as a form of invasion of privacy, Happy new year to you, How are you and how’s the weather over there?
I'm always really happy to find a knitter on youtube/insta etc who has good and contemporary taste...obviously, taste is subjective, but I often feel like I'm sorting through 30 frumpy patterns to find one cool/flattering/fashionable one. So much great inspo here! I added a bunch of the patterns to my favorites
i got into you because of the lirika matoshi sweater but I stayed for all the knitting talk cause I just love hearing you talk about your projects! Looking forward to all your knits this year haha
Natural fibers is so worth it! We spend that much time creating something make it count every time you put it on it makes you feel your worth and just makes you feel so loved by yourself and isn’t that half the battle in life loving ourselves. I love watching your channel have a great new year ❤️
You got all the opportunities you did this year because you're really good at this, and defo deserve to have the nice things you make. Discovering your channel is what made me realise how cool knitting can be, so I started learning almost a week ago. I watched this video while making my first scarf.
I've only been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now, but I'm already very happy I found your channel! It's so nice to see someone else be as excited over knitting as I am, you make me feel a lot less like a crazy, lonely grandma :D
I’m new to knitting and just checking out videos as I practice my stockinette, but just wanted to say I love how positively you talk about yourself when you wear your knit garments and I’m so excited to make my own and feel the same way. :)
The cloud sweater!!!! 😍The first video of yours I saw.❤ What a great knitting recap of the year, Tiffany. I was not nearly as prolific as you, but I'm excited for my current project: I'm doing a chunky knit baby carseat blanket (acrylic/wool blend) for my daughter who is due 1/25/22. Hope you have a lovely new year.
So happy I found your channel! You’ve been a real joy to watch throughout the past year! Hearing you being so excited about knitting really pushed me to keep creating and your positive energy is so infectious! 🌷💚
I really love these long videos, they are perfect to knit to! Please keep them coming. I also really like the idea of showing your stash and plans for the yarn you already have :)
I love all the projects you've made. You have such big sister energy haha, I love that I have learned so much about knitting from your videos. In 2022 I want to knit way more smaller needle projects and also want to think more about what I am making and whether I will love wearing it as well. As always, loved this video!
Your video is so fun to watch because of your honest expressions about how you feel about how you look and how beautiful your knits look on you. It is great.
thank you for getting me into mohair, although my wallet has taken a hit there has been a net improvement in my quality of life ✨💖 thanks so much for all the content this year, love you so much and can't wait to see what you have in store for 2022!
“I don’t deserve to wear this knit” GIRL. yes u do!! you spent money and hours on making it and I think ur really cool!! (I know that sentence was probably a joke LMAO)
I love how you were looking at all your pieces, reminiscing on them yet also sharing your ideas on how to up it all a level! Wishing you the absolute best for 2022!
WOW - The Louvre Sweater looks incredible on you! Amazing colour choice! I also really like the Anker tee on you too. If you like Petite Knit, you should check out the designs from Espace Tricot, a yarn shop in Montreal! I think you'd like their pullover designs.
You have been super productive and have made some beautiful knits! Great to look back and appreciate your own efforts. Thank you for sharing and inspiring other knitters. Happy New Year!!!
I'm working on my own novice sweater mohair edition while watching this! Mine's in a mostly champagne/beige/pink color, kidsilk/mohair entirely so extremely soft and pretty. I'm with you on the cost being dangerous, but like you said it's something I"ll be able to love forever. I'll take my one beautiful mohair cardigan for $100 worth of materials over five $20 fast fashion cardigans anyday.
The difference in material is so worth it! I splurged on some alpaca a few months ago to add as stripes to a shall, and it was the best thing ever! I just wish that it was always in my price range so I could work with it more!
Only 10mins in but I can I say I LOVE seeing you vibe with how gorgeous you look -- thank you for recognising your own beauty and not being afraid to say so
If you remake the white arm warmer shrug cardigan can you please please make a tutorial or pattern!! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for but I haven’t seen anyone write a pattern for it ! It’s beautiful
Also yes, this is a lifestyle. I'm a professional artist/ illustrator so i use fiber arts to relax. I grew up crafting on and off because of my mom. I'm picking up embroidery too! Went to a used craft store and picked up my first hoop and floss! Just need some fabric (i didn't like theirs, it was uh... very old lady quilting fabric). Excited to see what you'll make, and where your channel will go :)
Never apologize for long videos. I mean seriously, we love yarn, knitting and talking about knitting and hearing about knitting. We do have pause if we need to. However it can never be long enough in my opinion.lol
I prefer crocheting to knitting mostly because I am a lot worse at knitting but I still get a lot of inspiration and motivation from your videos and I love to work on my projects while I watch!
I see how you are progressing from acrylic to natural fibers like wool and cotton and more DK weight yarn. But early, first knitted pieces (2-3 months in?) are usually fail so they end up unused, unraveled or thrown away. You are gifted!!! + I am glad I started with good quality fibers (they are cheaper here or I made smaller pieces with ball yarn)
Your knits are stunning! I'm only starting my knitting journey but you're giving me hope! (I didn't really like the clothing other ppl made as much lol, just not my cup of tea)
omg yes to the black cardigan!! i will join you hahaha, and yes to the video with what to do with your 2021 leftovers! or maybe a stream so we can chat about it in real time and look up patterns? happy new year!
