Meend and Sparsh Alankar Swaras in Hindustani Classical Music

- The video describes two Alankars - Meend and Sparsh Swaras. It shows some practical examples where Meend is used - in Kedar Raga and Bollywood Songs.
Meend and Sparsh Swaras are both related to each other. They are essentially a type of Alankar in Hindustani Classical Music.
Many times we need to move from one note to another note while skipping intermediate notes. In such cases, the intermediate notes are just touched (sparsh) while moving between start and end notes. These intermediate surs or notes are called sparsh swaras. The way of singing which uses sparsh swara is called Meend.
It is essential to know Meend as this kind of Alankar is used in many ragas.

You sang Pa Sa but actually used Dha Sa during pronouncing the notes. At about 1 min 15 sec.
Absolutely right. Pa aur Dha ko spasht kren. It's wrongly sung. Kindly correct the notes.

Haan thoda slow hota hai but you have to take the meend keeping taal in mind
