I feel like Cali went light in this battle because he thought it wasn't gonna be a hard fight. If Cali showed up the way he did against J2 I think he would've taken it. But his rounds were short and he didn't offset Random's approach well, or counterwrite much against the angles. I feel like with anglers you either have to thoroughly outwrite them, be way more entertaining, outangle them, or counterwrite like crazy. To me I think Cali didn't apply any of these strategies heavily enough to win.
Random, on the other hand, came with a refreshing style that counteracted Cali's approach well. While still having some bars that were par for the course with most battlers, he had a unique style, and he was more saying deep thoughts for punches than relying on wordplay. He definitely took the third by expertly playing to the camera, I think the second goes to him as well.
