Remember watching Crenshaw at brookside in columbus back in the early 70's. He had the reputation of the next big Star. Being very hansome, beautiful women swooned over him.
LIV is funded by Saudi Arabia. All but two of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. Period. “Never forget” is apparently only a meaningless quote when it comes to many of the already super wealthy PGA professionals. Golf, a sport of honesty, tradition and class is fading into history. I haven’t watched a televised golf event since LIV was formed. I hope there are many out there who agree.

You miss the point entirely. Every single tour player today putts under the rules of Ben Crenshaw. Even Tiger. And his claim to fame is that he was man enough to open up about it. There were a few others who knew how to putt too but every single one of them kept it to themselves. Even Nicklaus. That alone makes him one of the all time greats. People forget, up until about 1960 it was almost a given that the leader was going to choke somewhere on the last 4 holes with their putter. Crenshaw ended that for everyone by telling people what he did to be such a great putter. It's the RELEASE stupid. The release takes the player out of the putt.

I won’t watch LIV golf and the players who went to LIV for the money are history to me. I still the watch PGA tour and will continue to. There is plenty of new talent there.
If the players didn't get played,who keeps the enormous amount of money these tournaments make,the pga, that's what it's all about,same argument with other sports,money talks and bullshit walks

In 1968 the PGA Tour is formed. Led by Nicklaus and Palmer, the players split from the PGA of America because they didn't like PGA Club Professionals being allowed in their event$. The split was only about the money. So get off your high-horse and accept that PGA Tour players are not some kind of holier than thou "traditionalists". They wear slave-made clothes and act as though they're staunch "traditionalist' just looking to "protect the game", because you don't know the facts and fall for their propaganda. You lap it up because of their golf talent and refuse to believe your lying eyes.

I carried for him and Jay Haus at Bandon Dunes in 2005. Jay was nice but Ben ooozed kindness. Great man. Ran into him again a few years later. He was coming out the clubhouse at Pacific Dunes. He almost run over my golfers 😊 he apologized and my player told him how he had a hat signed by him years earlier had been ruined by his wife. Ben told the players to go get hats and he would sign them. They did and he spent ten minutes talking with them. I disagree with him on LIV though. We do business with China every day. The Chinese communist party is horrible but we do. It's no different than doing business with Saudi. In addition the "not f9r profit " organization known as the PGA suddenly found 800 million in a sock drawer.
