      Listen I don't want to come across as cynical, but this is a serious question I always wonder concerning the treatment we give to our celebrities. What do you really care how he is as a person ? I understand we all have - or should have - a moral code that reflects on our behaviour. And I understand the part of athletes and personalities as role models for the youth. But beyond what's reasonable to say and ask, what do we really care about how Karl Malone was as a person ? Would it affect me in any way, shape or form ? No. I don't give two fks about him nor any other athlete to that extent. I just want to enjoy his performance on the court, or whatever other field he's a master at. Other than that I don't understand the pseudo moralistic crap of coming at him just to act as a good person online in front of strangers.

      @@MoralesCorner Because the media always extends to a celebrities personal life, everything he do are always being talked about. But if he wasn't a basketball player, molesting a child or (someone under age i forgot) is pretty shitty for a normal person, and his lucky he was famous because if not he would've paid the consequences. But I'm still a fan of his game tho, an all-time great.

    Imma keep it a buck. He’s honestly kinda of overrated. He had a very symbiotic relationship with Stockton for virtually his entire career. It’s not a coincidence that one is the all time assists leader by a wide margin and the other it second in points. They both needed one another to achieve their greatness. I think their accolades and careers turn out very differently if one is replaced with somebody else.

      @Fries So you think Stockton and Malone was overrated cuz they were predictable but you make excuses for Nash cuz his the number one option? So technically he was predictable as well and had more flaws he cant even defend to save his life unlike Stockton that had the most steals in NBA history as well and a gritty defender.. dont tell me Stocktons steals was benefited from malone as well lol.. and Stocktons career was rated correctly.. he was not even in top5 mvp voting during his heyday while Nash 2mvps was sus and controversial to say the least.. they both got no rings but at least Stockton made 2 finals trip with 2 all time career record that will never be broken while Nash will always be remembered as the one of the most controversial mvps of the 2000s lol (while i agree that he was the mvp both times but medias and fans says otherwise)

    • @ranholic5027
      @ranholic5027 2 роки тому

      @Fries Fair enough.. I do think the reason why many considered Stockton as high as 30 like you said is because of his longevity which is also a factor in a goat list or top 50ish something ranking.. imagine playing 82 games for 17 years or 18 years is unimaginable in todays NBA.. and he owns 2 of 5 main statistics in NBA history so theres that.. both are lil overrated by fans and medias for me but it doesnt mean they are not good.. ill say Stockton is better and greater between the two cuz of defense, longevity and consistency..

    To be arguably top 2 at your position all time while owning incredible records and overall statistics plus accolades, is an incredible feat. But I still belive Charles Barkley was the better player when both were at their peak though obviously he didn't have Malone's dedication to fitness and training. You can also make a legitimate argument that Kevin Garnett was better when both were at their peak. But on his sheer dominance over time I have to say that he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

      Malone and Barkley were stronger offensively than Garnett. Garnett was a better defensive player though. I would put Garnett at #5 or 6 ranking, behind Duncan, Malone, Nowitzki, and Barkley. I don’t think he was as great as Barkley and Malone offensively. Passing, they all averaged about the same: Barkley (3.9 apg), KG (3.7 apg), Malone (3.6 apg). No one was better. Malone was on the 1st team defensive team 3 times but he never won DPOY. Not easy beating Olajuwon, Jordan, Rodman, Mutombo, Payton, Robinson, etc. KG had easier competitor than most players on defensive award. 90s and early 2000s had great defenders. KG is an all time great defensive player who also had all of the offensive tools Barkley and Malone had.
