I struggled on and off with drugs (heroin) most of my 20s. Then I was taking Suboxone most of my 30s. It wasn't until prison I realized that staying sober isn't the only goal. Being happy and being a better person and kind hearted is. There is no big reward or finish line and it's OKAY to struggle but I'd rather have realized that at age 40 then not at all. It's never too late to be better, for yourself and those around you, because your quality of life will go up sooo much, even when things suck. I promise.

As someone who had an acute kidney infection and blood sepsis, the comments about your back hurting and the position are so true. I didnt know what was wrong, figured that since those "stretches and positions" relieved the pain, it must be a muscle soreness. Wrong. I had maybe 24 hours left before I would have entered into kidney failure as I had had the infection in my kidneys for 3 days prior to ANY treatment. Probably had an unchecked UTI for a week or more at that point. Ladies and Gents, take care of your Sexual.reproduction organs because they arent taboo they are a part of you.

@@bloodycrocs ..oh no, all I had were burning kidneys, and could not walk upright nor barely crawl ...
I was on the verge of consulting a hospital, but as a lifelong 'self healer', I tend to use the means I know of first, unless something gets scary. I just laid there curled up, using (distilled) water, certain tea, lemon...and eliminating most foods ...and slept alot..took Epsom salt baths.... between long communes with the energy I know as Jesus, and God. I even wrote a long letter to my xhusband in case I were to leave this earthlol,
and I otherwise prepared mentally 'just in case'.things were to get worse..
It was about 3-4 days before I could walk upright & without a stick....
I highly recommend investing in a counter top water distiller if u don't have pure well water. The toxic water systems are hard on kidneys I'd think..

Sorry for your loss. I don’t know anyone who died from or uses fentanyl.
Did your son take it recreationally and it took off? Or was this a self medicating situation that escalated?
I recently saw a news article about a new fentanyl that looked like smarties candy. Absolutely no good can come from making the pills “attractive”.

I was on heroin for a long time, ended up graduating on to straight fent. I had a girl living with me and she was basically prostituting herself out for money, and she would do that and get an 8 ball or qrtr, and half it with me and that was how she paid to stay there and her part of the bills basically. I got half of her fent when she would get it. EVERYTHING this man says is true. When he talked about how it attacks the body, thats the first time I have ever heard someone mention that side of it, and it freaks me out because when this girl would use and get super high, she would just like.... contort herself and her body would do really weird things and I never shot it like she did (not saying I was any better WHATSOEVER, but when you dont bang it, you tend to not get as high and you remember more) so I remember seeing her and thinking it was just her, like thats just what it did to HER. Crazy to hear this and hear him talk about how it attacks EVERYONE like that. The girl ended up OD'ing and I kicked her out of my house because I didnt want her to die in my house.... I know that sounds shitty and it was. I shoulda helped the girl, but I was an addict myself, and was a shitty person myself =/ I'm not trying to hide that. But seeing her turn blue and having to use the narcan like I did on her... It was fucked up and it done something to me, rolling her over and seeing her face almost dark blue. I really don't know how she survived that, but she did, and it was the last time I have seen or heard from her, and this was about 6 or 7 months ago. I havent done fent since, and I really hope she is in a good place as well as I am, and not still doing things the way she did... I hope shes still alive man..
Sorry to rant. Just wanted to tell my story, and this just hit me differently

IMO, they should hire guys like this to go Harm Reduction work with peers…from safer practices to cutting down, switching to safer substances, MAT…anything short of wanting to quit everything. Then if they want to quit, refer them to them a recovery or treatment program or mentor if needed. For HR coaching, give them a weekend training and education to make sure their info is accurate and up to date, then let people with the experience help. They already have peer coaching programs like this for mental health and addiction recovery. Maybe this is already happening in California, but we’ve never seen anything like it in the Midwest. We’re practically devoid of HR programs with funding, but Gabor Mate started an excellent one in Canada. They do housing, education, medical care. People should have to die because they haven’t been able to quit.

He really helped me to understand that drug, fentanyl; simply stated: it is evil. I thought it killed people, period; but I see now that one can live with it as long as they temper it. I've heard people say that because they don't use the needle that it is better than heroin but Johnny explaining that the frequency of use makes the fentanyl more dangerous and I imagine more expensive. All in all, Johnny seems like a very caring person. His acceptance of people who tolerate the visual slow dying of their body, though, is a little more than he can take. Thank you Mark and Johnny

Johnny's assessment of Fentanyl is enlightening as hell. There is a lot of fetty addicts in Kennsington with rotting flesh. The smell of decomposition is unforgettable in a bad way. I know I'm going to get haters, why do people think legalization of drugs is a good idea? A 26 year old woman was sentenced to 20 years for driving on Fentanyl and crack and killed a young girl. She blew through several lights at 80 mph in Las Vegas. She was shocked at the sentence.

I don’t think all drugs should be outright legalized but many should be decriminalized, including heroin, but absolutely NOT fentanyl. As a heroin addict myself, I can tell you most us addicts rather heroin but can’t find it. Even Jonny’s another one who’s a fentanyl addict and rather heroin. If dealers knew they are waaay better off trafficking in heroin instead of fentanyl the opiate problem would actually decrease. People who wanna get high are gonna get high, even doctors tell you that’s a fact, it’s impossible to stop them. But fentanyl is sooo much harder to get off, the sickness is soo much worse. The same amount of heroin was around before it started being switched to fentanyl, but back when it was all heroin the problem wasn’t this bad. It’s easier to get off and harder to overdose. I like what Canada has been trying. They’ve set up few places where opiate addicts who’ve chronically relapsed can come and doctors shoot them with pharmaceutical grade heroin. It has cut down of overdoses in those areas, decreased street crime associated with drug addiction, like robberies and such. I’ll give it to Canada. At least they are trying different things, instead of being stuck on the same ‘War On Drugs’ policy that we are. Even though we already know it doesn’t work, we in the US keep saying ‘More Police, Stiffer Penalties.’

    • @numberonehater1239
      @numberonehater1239 2 роки тому +1

Decriminalisation and legalisation is not the same thing. People want decriminalisation for the users, making access to treatment and healthcare etc easier and safer. Very naive and uneducated view of things if your interpretation of decriminalising drugs for the users is that people can drug-drive and get away with it. That’s not what people are trying to push for at all. Decriminalisation focuses on harm reduction, seeing as abstinence clearly does not work and is not possible to force on people. We need harm reduction. We need addicts to have safe access to clean needles etc, we need addicts to have access to safe fent-free drugs or access to test kits. That does not mean that the dealers are free from repercussions, just that people are not punished solely for being addicts. If they act like dickheads as a result of being an addict, that’s entirely different.

  • @sikay6340

I don’t understand how people could use fentanyl on the street. First off in a clinical setting controlled it’s a serious substance that is used for severe cases of pain, for cancer patients etc. The stuff they sell on the streets isn’t even pharmaceutical grade. It’s cut with pure garbage and other poisonous chemicals. I can’t imagine ingesting that stuff. People have no business using actual fentanyl if they aren’t in severe pain. Even in those instances it’s hard to deal with. Pain medications aren’t great. I’ve had a lot of surgeries and have been on all kinds of intense medications, IV and oral meds and am not a fan. Severe constipation and itchy rashes suck. Thankfully I never had an issue with addiction.
