Beautiful music. It would be nice if you told where they're from and what kind of music it is though. I had to search the web and be a detective just to find out they're Hungarian. I think the country of origin deserves the credit at least.
Dear Rick, they were a Hungarian group, playing "Sung Poems" as the album's title suggests The poems are mostly from 20th century Hungarian poets, but there are two from the mid 2nd millenium (Tinódi and Pannonius) and also a Latin one (Quintus Horatius Flaccus) from the Roman era - by the way it's music is based on a Bulgarian folk melody. Generally speaking, the music is influenced by the various folks' music living in and around the Carpatian basin. I'm glad you like it, it's a real favourite of mine as well : ) greetz, Chubby L.
Amazing musical interpretations. Did Sebö write the music, or are there "borrowings" from pre-existing folk music or were the melodies here inventions of a genius mind.
@@didergo I know that these are interpretations of poems. What I was pondering was whether or not there were some borrowings from actual historic folk songs.
Utterly precious treasure.

These are Hungarian folk-inspired Sebő songs. All the lyrics are originally poems from various Hungarian authors.

@@djtigerstripes Folk-inspired Sebő originals, as I said.
In the strict sense these are original Sebő compositions. In the broad sense, all music are "borrowings", especially in this genre. :)
