omg i live in bk!! i moved here when i was 19 bc a friend randomly asked if i wanted to be roommates. i had NO idea what i was doing but throughout this process i learned so much about myself and how strong i can be when its just me calling the shots. i travelled a ton before moving to nyc and i honestly travel 75% less because there is such an abundance of life here! if you love this city i promise it loves you back
i just moved to new york two months ago!!! it was so scary and tbh i’m still really struggling with feeling so stuck in this period of transition and trying to figure everything out/make a home for myself here. it can get very isolating, especially during the winter months i hear. everything feels so unfamiliar and scary, but it’s (kind of?) gotten better. would love to meet up if you’re down to make friends ! :)
I'm so sorry to hear about the experience in London. I know exactly what you mean about feeling invincible when I'm walking with my husband. I carry a little pepper spray on my keychain if I need to get distance from a creep. Grateful I've never had to use it but that might be a good thing to have on you during your travels. You can get a little one at the convenience store when you land since the airports won't let you take it through security. This time of year, I get sad as well. I hope you find what brings you joy. sometimes i feel like we get depressed or numb because too much good is happening or just too much is happening. i also experienced numbness or non-excitement about moving to another country even though it should be very very existing. then i took a few step back and realized maybe i shouldn't have moved at all, and moved back home.

This....I sold everything and moved to SE Asia in 2017. I lived in over 11 different countries and never felt scared. I was always excited and confident for the unknown adventures. I moved back to Texas in August, got a car and apartment. I dont understand why Im here now. I feel trapped all of a sudden and now Im thinking about how to get out of here.

All those paper stuff and finding a place is so suffocating, but I always have in sight the reason why I left and looking back there is nothing left for me in my home country for my career so i have no reason to regret even if it’s not easy. I hope it can help. Keep trusting yourself, yes you don’t always know what your needs are and you don’t control everything as you think but when you look back, wouldn’t you do it twice ? And in the journey didn’t you learn more about yourself ? This can help you figure out the needs you didn’t meet in the past, now for the future. Trust your gut, it’s God given, this is your guide. When you will get older you will laugh about those days. PS: You’re right about the audience getting older and quiet lol I’m too tired to express my thoughts in comments even when I have a lot to say most of the time but it’s been more than 5 years I watch your videos and followed your journey !
I think New York will be a great city for you. I would encourage you to start in Brooklyn - I like Manhattan as a borough more but Brooklyn is a nice place to start. Also live alone if you can afford to

*Coming to save you from male invasion lol* Well I don’t know if I can say I feel you but I’m a french girl who freshly moved in USA last month, alone 23 yrs old. All those paper stuff and finding a place is so suffocating, but I always have in sight the reason why I left and looking back there is nothing left for me in my home country for my career so i have no reason to regret even if it’s not easy. I hope it can help. Keep trusting yourself, yes you don’t always know what your needs are and you don’t control everything as you think but when you look back, wouldn’t you do it twice ? And in the journey didn’t you learn more about yourself ? This can help you figure out the needs you didn’t meet in the past, now for the future. Trust your gut, it’s God given, this is your guide. When you will get older you will laugh about those days.

I think New York will be a great city for you. I would encourage you to start in Brooklyn - I like Manhattan as a borough more but Brooklyn is a nice place to start. Also live alone if you can afford to
