Whatever happened to Daequan and Hamlinz? They were the airbenders of making Fortnite content, and when the world needed them most… they vanished.
Remember back in 2018 when Fortnite was all anybody could talk about and the only thing that mattered was cranking 90’s ? (Ahh, simpler times). It’s definitely been a while since the start of the Fortnite craze-- and it’s been a while for some of its stars as well. Fortnite exploded in popularity as soon as it was released, quickly beating out PUBG for most popular battle royale. Within 2 weeks the game had 10 million players-- within a few months that number grew to 45 million. All the popularity meant viewership was skyrocketing, and Esports orgs are always quick to look for rising talent with new games. Enter Daequan and Hamlinz. Everybody who loves Esports has heard of TSM (whether you’re a fan of them or not is another question), and they’re undoubtedly one of the best at signing new players. Known as TSM at the time (formerly Team Solo Mid, and currently TSM FTX), the org brought on Myth in January of that year, with Daequan and Hamlinz joining a month afterwards. Very quickly TSM Fortnite became the biggest name in the game. The three FPS stars moved into a house together and began making content. Some of the most iconic early Fortnite material was created thanks to them. Notably, Daequan invented the ‘double pump’, a strategy where you carry two pump shotguns and quickly swap between them to one shot opponents. The mechanic became so overbearing that Epic Games actually removed it from Fortnite. Talk about leaving a permanent mark on the game! Their gameplay wasn’t the only thing to get excited about though. The TSM Fortnite streamers commanded huge chunks of the growing audience, with all three of them quickly surpassing the million follower mark on twitch. Their other socials soon followed-- today Daequan still has over 5 million subs on youtube, Myth has 4.5 million, and Hamlinz has 1.35 million. To date Daequan and Hamlinz have a combined total of almost 75 million hours of viewership on twitch. The rapid success couldn’t last forever though.
At some point Daequan and Hamlinz stopped streaming-- the first in a long
string of ‘hiatuses.’ Fans of the duo were quick to show their support on social media, but goodwill only goes so far. There was a lot of mystery around their frequent disappearances, and fans wanted answers. The two streamers are both self-proclaimed ‘terrible communicators’-- Daequan even tweeted once that keeping in touch with fans is something he wants to work on. Myth kept streaming and making content for TSM. He eventually became one of the biggest variety streamers out there. There’s a famous clip of him jokingly screaming that he’s ‘not the fortnite guy anymore.’ He recently left TSM after a controversy popped up surrounding the owner, Reggie. A few of the org’s most important members also jumped ship. Leena Xu-- who many said was the ‘brain of TSM’, star league of legends player Soren Bjergsen, and the league coach Parth to name a few-- but that’s a whole other story. - Розваги

They starting to seem lame asf to me, they come back and then they leave over and over. Dae said he was back at his house and see’s “no reason why he couldn’t continue streaming” then disappeared after two or three more streams
at this point they building up hype so they will always be relevant when they come back....with all these creators nowadays noone will watch dae and ham after a while of them streaming and they know it...
Someone will drop some dirt in the future that these two are legitimate scammers. Perhaps made up issues altogether, but definitely fabricated the severity. Try to call off work for a couple years and see how that goes; I'll wait.

If someone doesn't want to stream, they aren't obligated to lol (unless they have a contractual obligation, i mean they aren't obligated to stream for you) and as far as ppl saying "they are scammers bc we paid a sub" you chose to donate for support, if you donate and expect something back from it that wouldn't be support would it 🤔 people think these streamers "owe them" bc they donate/sub. Anyone who thinks this way is a parasocial 🤡 for sure.
