Sadly, there was a pretty significant backlash against the studio as soon as they hired Amamiya Sora for Aqua and it didn't subside until after the first season finally started airing.

Once they saw her performance as Aqua though, they stopped and Amamiya Sora became a very beloved & respected seiyuu.

In the biggining yes, but aside from Aqua spending mos of her money dri nking and eating with make earnings donated to renovating Axel Axis Church, Darkness donating her earnings to Eris Sect Church, and Megumin upgrading her staff and getting extra identical robes and spending money home they are actually kinda "rich" once "Maxwell" is out of the picture

Actually, weirdly enough, Aqua is *highly* valued up there in heaven. Her role at convincing hapless saps like Kazuma to jump into dangerous worlds is vitally essential and pretty much no one else up there can do it because it involves shifty scamming and double-talk. Basically, all the other gods and angels have too much of a moral conscience to trick humans like that....but not Aqua.

Yep I knew this couldn't be season 3. Crunchy is notorious for putting episodes much later on youtube than on their site. However, I am surprised it would be this late that season 1 episode 1 would be on here.

No matter how many times i watch ep 1 i always have a stupid smile on my face and the scenes always make me laugh, how does this not get old!
He should've started as a merchant, made at least enough for room and board, and THEN switch to adventurer being that you can switch when you level up.
Well atleast he learned that lesson and is now manufacturing products from his own world to the current world.
This is when kazuma realized he had messed up. If Kazuma wasn't so angry he could have gotten an amazing power

There is no better item than Aqua. She's a permanent party member with maxed out stats. Kazuma has a maxed tank and healer. With his utility, he could probably have the perfect party if he picked a real dps class, and Megumi didn't put every point into explosion.
Who else thought this was season 3? But I have a feeling it’s coming since re zero got a second part.

If you look back after the side story of Megumin and just tell WHY Kazuma and Aqua can do construction works all the time: Because Megumin also arrives this town at almost the same time and create many potholes around the town by her explosion spell, the town council request many of construction works for refilling those damage by Megumin spells so many of construction workers needed.
WHAT THE FUNNIEST THING MAKE ME LOFL WHEN I SAW THIS!
And before the construction work they had ton of jobs that they lost partly thanks to Aqua.

I love this anime soooo much. Its crazy funny I really wish they would do twice as many episodes per season even if its a buncha funny as hell episodes that dont advance the plot but are funny as hell. I'd be ok because I love the humor.

This series is a bit weird, on surface it looks like light comedy, but it has depth in it. Genuine friendship, a hero that is nothing like usual OP hero in anime, but actually does quite heroic things when it matters etc. I can watch this for laughs and for deeper stuff as well. Definitely one of the best of anime.
