Funny story on how Taka became the lead singer. Toru heard him sing at some concert or venue and wanted him to join the band, but Taka didn't want to. Toru suddenly showed up at Taka’s part-time job and stayed in the restaurant for hours while waiting for Taka's to say yes. He would order a glass of water, over and over again, and would always ask Taka to come to his band’s rehearsal, but Taka turned the guitarist down over and over again. Toru said he won’t leave until Taka agrees on coming to the rehearsal. Toru was really persistent and determined to recruit him. Looks like Taka gave in 🥰❤️💫✨🌟

Nice reaction. OOR is good live. Btw, it's very very hard to get their tickets in Japan. Because they're super-mega-star there 😂. They can sold out Domes very fast. If you live in USA, they did concerts there pretty often.

It really is true! OOR played to a total of 400,000 people in Japan in 2023 at 11 concerts in dome stadiums around the country. I tried to book tickets for the venue of my choice 3 days after sales started and was about 800th on the waiting list. Big mistake 😱😭

A lot of one ok rocks songs have been either co-written or co-produced by other big artist like 5 seconds of summer drummer , bring me the horizons keyboardist, ed Sheeran , linkin park -mike and also producers who work for other huge bands. So that’s why a lot people think it reminds them of other bands. Bring me the horizon is British 😊

From what I observe and know from all the things I consumed from japanese entertainment and so as reading some info's,rock genre is basically still alive in Japan. Sort of in their culture, since rock concerts or performance is their goto type of thing when they need to relax from stress and such. So, it is really their entertainment. That is why they kinda don't want that genre to die. Also, they are really into live performance, lypsincing is somewhay taboo there.
Finally
Cheap Trick, MR.BIG, Queen, and Bon Jovi were popular in Japan before they were popular in their home country. The Ventures, which came to Japan in 1965, were very popular.

Concerts in japan are harder to book. From what I know its in a lottery system. You can't really pick what seat your getting.
