STA gratefully remembers CONGRESSWOMAN SHEILA JACKSON LEE

GREETINGS!
On Saturday January 29th , 2022, Congresswoman SHEILA JACKSON LEE - Yale Graduate, influential lawyer cum politician and U.S. Representative for Texas's 18th Congressional District (since 1995), honored the SAKERETTES TRANSGLOBAL ALLIANCE Sorority by personally attending the Inauguration of the group's Twin Celebrations to mark the 60th Anniversary of their Alma Mater - Saker Baptist College - LIMBE, and the 5th Anniversary of their own existence.
The Congresswoman who is arguably the most recognizable female face in Congress, did not show up "empty-handed".
She brought three duly signed documents with her:
1. A CERTIFICATE OF CONGRESSIONAL RECOGNITION OF STA whose efforts were described as "DESERVING OF THE RESPECT, ADMIRATION and COMMENDATION of THE UNITED STATE'S CONGRESS."
2. A CERTIFICATE OF CONGRESSIONAL RECOGNITION OF SAKER BAPTIST COLLEGE for its "commitment to seeking ways and means to improve the lives of Girls and Women."
3. A CONGRATULATORY LETTER OF COMMENDATION FOR STA IN ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THE SORORITY'S "DEDICATION TO EXCELLENCE"
She took the time to address the group, take photos and chat a little, before handing over the aforementioned documents.
Little wonder, then, that STA is deeply saddened by her passing yesterday, Friday, July 19th 2024.
This little snippet is meant as a grateful SALUTE to her for her innumerable, inspiring achievements, as a whole, and her regard for STA specifically.
May her valiant soul rest in peace.
