Why is every shuttle tatting tutorial skipping how to make a ring, then a chain and another ring? I can needle tat but not shuttle tat. I cannot find a single video tutorial showing how to do the transitions from ring to chain to ring! I really want to learn 1 shuttle method, 2 shuttle method and filler with two shuttles or is it 1 shuttle and a ball? You are so good at teaching, please consider a video showing transitions from one type of stitch to next. I thought this video was for that, but it is only a ring with 3 picots. Perhaps a different video that you’ve created demonstrates the combination - if so, my apologies. Thank you
Hi Tam! So sorry, I got quite a few questions on this over the last few months. I have made a new video addressing this question and you can see me demonstrate how to do a ring, then a chain, then a ring here: ua-cam.com/video/JHPMSF5zU-A/v-deo.html
Hi! What is flipping the stitch before you close the ring? I think that has been my problem. The first ring I made with several mistakes, but was able to somehow get closed. I haven't been able to do it right since😅
Awww man I’m sorry to hear that. Sometimes the type of thread you are using can be to blame. Would you say it’s smooth or a little bit rough? Also, if one of your knots isn’t facing the right way, it can make it to where you can’t pull your chain tight.
I have wanted to learn this since I eas 15
I'm 60 and just bought my first shuttles. I'm so excited
Your instructions are very clear
I’m so glad. Best of luck as you start learning! 🥰
I remember someone trying to show me many moons ago. I just couldn't get it. Thank you for your clear videos.
So glad they were helpful
Love the teaching but hearing the baby was relaxing for me!
Awww yeah she’s pretty great lol 🥰

Brand new to tatting….loving your videos…but in this video I cannot get my chain to pull tight…it’s locked.

I have been trying to figure this out for years!!! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the tutorial, I hope you do more advance techniques. Because I will like to learn more about this beautiful art. Thanks again.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong but every time I go to pull to make it a loop it won't close
You might have one of your stitches laying the wrong way, or possibly a knot somewhere in the ring?
I have just discovered this amazing art. Thank you so much for these videos. They’re the best I have found. 🥰❤️
Wow, thank you!
I just found your channel! Off to buy tatting supplies!!
Hope you enjoy! It really is so much fun once you get the hang of it. :)
