It's amazing how much this place has changed. When I lived near there in 2002 compared to what it was like when I left in 2016 to what it looks like now, its night and day.
I was there many times between 1995 and 2002. I noticed changes just over those 7 years but wow in the 17 years since I was last there and this video was made...Other than a very few places like the King Club, Texas, and the Hamilton Hotel...It's almost unrecognizable! Looks great. Happy for the locals that they've cleaned up the area and they can go out and have a good time there
Michael Woodruff The G.I base has moved to Pyeongtaek, just south of Seoul. This is because if North Korea attacked the Yongsan Garrison it would light a gigantic firestorm in the center of Seoul, killing millions.

If there was war again it'd last maybe a month unless china got involved. The way economics are I doubt china would fight since they make lots of money off American trade. NK is close to democracy the Kims have to all die first.

I visit there when I was 13 year old in 2011 because of my dad job stuff .. such a beautiful city . Even I visited there long time ago but still I remember the vibrant beauty of itaewon...
itaewon is very nice place for foreigners to hangout we would love meet different kinds of foreigners there it seems to be more awesome and enjoyable if we could have fun time there
Excellent exercise of walking and shopping. Very few over weight peoples you can see and noticed, except Chinese Restaurants in The South Korea. Most South Korean are healthy and good shapes

So I guess if this is 2am I'd be tucked up in bed, :) Have I answered my own question? Definitely want to visit, when I'm able (covid free world) to.

very very few homeless people or beggars in Korea so it's very hard to see them.
I would say a third of the people in the video are non Korean tourists. Most from other parts of Asia.
