The only thing I really dislike about this song (and sadly many BTS songs) is how they distort their voices with autotuning. I personally find it difficult to listen to. Generally I am fine with autotune, but Bighit uses it in a way for it to sound very specific in a lot of songs, which unfortunately doesn't work for me.
But the song is still catchy and the message behind it is really sweet.
I feel the same, I don't know why they have done it on so many songs now, I understand that it can be a stylistic choice but I don't think it's pleasant in this song, it's difficult to listen to in my opinion. Would have loved to hear more of their natural voices in this song because I really don't like the overuse of auto tune so much that it completely distorts their voices.
@@aspannas agreed, and it bugs me because in their older songs it wasn't the case. I understand the use of autotune if you for example want to pitch a voice very low, but here it just doesn't sound normal anymore. My fab bts songs are not today and spring day, which are completely different songs so I can't even say that it's a genre I don't like by them, it just really is this tuning, which sadly also negatively impacts txt songs for me. :(
@@SuperTwisty99 Yeah they never used auto tune this way in their older songs and I actually like the song but the distortion on the voices, it was the first thing i noticed when i listened to the song and it kind of ruins the song for me sadly. I wish they would stop with overusing the auto tune so much on the latest songs, it just doesn't sound good. I understand using it for one part of the song or something but the whole song is just too much for me. Seems like its a style Big hit is trying on their artists but I think it just overshadow their natural voices into something unnatural and not pleasant to listen to.
i totally agree! i don't understand why bighit has been using this style of autotune on them the past few years :/ it's been on a lot of different songs too, not just the dance/trap genre songs. this might be a product of them using melodies that are the most catchy, even if they don't perfectly fit the members' natural voices. all of their voices are really versatile, but they do not sound similar at all, which i guess is hard to work with when trying to make a catchy repetitive pop song :/ that's why i think they shine the most on their less "radio friendly" songs. but i still love dynamite cuz its fun

Jungkook starting the song was such a powerful move!!🔥. I loved his solo part the most😆. He was so charismatic, killing those vocals and feeling himself. He definitely rocked the concept of this song. His pronunciation was so good as well. His high note and his adlibs towards the end were so refreshing. He snapped so hard on this one!.
The transposition/key change at the end made me like whoaaaaa! In addition to the, let me call it ice cream explosion in the sky in the video at this very moment, it's just such a clever move, totally uplifting and really adds a lot of extra spice to the song, like the cherry on the cake.

Great job! I know I'm late to this but it's good to see a reaction vid from someone who really knows his stuff. Songwriter/producer David Stewart deconstructed his mix in another vid (someone may have mentioned this in the comments) and you nailed all the elements. Spot on. The band also posted an instrumental vid which helps isolate the tracks (and fans have posted vocal-only vids). I've been studying how this recording was put together. As a producer myself it's rewarding to hear someone who's able to discern the details (like the ADR at the open). Well done!
