We have been living in our caravan now for 7 weeks and we have done a fair few kilometres already!!

Hi love your videos and your van! I’m looking into buying one of these but I only see they come on the “on road” touring setup. Did you guys modified the suspension to make it semi off road or just goes in this configuration? Thanks!

Ours came with leaf spring suspension and it was classed as off road 😁
We underslung our axels to give us more clearance though so we got abit more height

Does the Baby bed mesh have a name? im trying to locate someone to make one for myself but am not having much luck finding somewhere.
We actually just went to our local canvas shop and gave them our measurements and they did one up for us, a few names ive heard of are Caravan Custom Canvas, the canvas man Charleston, Aussie Canvas.
There's quite a few recommendations on caravanning with kids Australia Facebook group aswell 😍😍

@@fivedownunder Thanks, also did you have any issues with Freddie playing with the window in his bed.
I actually zip tied all of the windows shut, around the handle and the pole that lifts the window up so that they couldn't open it in the middle of the night just because freddies young and Quinn sleep walks and does silly things so I wanted them to be safe because our windows are pretty big and they can fit through them, but also yes Freddie used to kick the blind and actually broke it, but we have since replaced it now he has grown up abit 😁
@@fivedownunder Thanks, we just purchased a caravan and have 4 kids (12,8,2 & 8 mths) so will definitely have to do some baby/toddler proofing.
Hi again 😊 do you know if those sirocco fans are good for young kids? We have a 6 and 4 year old. I’ve been trying to Google search so see if they have a safety feature so if kids stick their little fingers in it won’t chop them off 😬😅 doesn’t look like they have a plastic cover? They seem so popular as I’ve seen loads of different videos with people using them.
Hi Laura! 😁 We have one on each of the kids bunk beds, one being on our 10 month olds bed too, he hasn't tried to put his fingers in yet so I can't comment on that lol we've put our own fingers in it and it doesn't seem to be dangerous. It doesn't cut your fingers off 🤣 They don't have a cover or a safety feature but I think it's because it's plastic, it may hurt little hands but I couldn't see it doing any damage 😬 well I hope not because my little boy has it on his bed and it's on every night lol sorry I couldn't help more but i haven't heard any horror stories about it x

What solar/battery set up do you have and how do you find it off grid with a family?

Hi Alan, we have 310 watt of solar, and at the moment 200amps of agm battery power, we are upgrading it to 240 amps of lithium in a couple of weeks, it's good off grid at the moment but does struggle after a few days of no sun, but that is why we are upgrading so we can go off grid for longer 😁 we are doing a video on it soon when we change it. hope that helps!
